Well done HTC finally someone has released a good camera, the LG G6 and S8 didnt impress as previous iterations. Glad to see this is a big improvement on the previous HTC flagship.
Hopefully Samsung, LG and others will improve their camera's for next year or even this year with the Note 8 and V30.

Just propaganda to make you buy the next big thing (whatever brand it may be). All phone cameras are the same nowadays. I'd rather have the headphone jack back, IR blaster, removable battery and slide qwerty keyboard. HTC is going downhill fast.
Imagine an S7 but with slide qwert keyboard like the old Nokia N97, with s pen, IR blaster, removable 4000 mah battery and front facing stereo speakers. Oh, and headphone jack of course. Build can be plastic or metal, not fragile glass.

I never trust DxO Mark... They rated the LG V20's camera above its predecessor, the G5. Not to mention how the Moto Z Force was rated higher than both, yet takes extremely blurry pictures with lots of noise. I'll wait till someone else review the camera before I form an opinion about the camera

That's good and all but why is DxOMark still doesn't have an iPhone 7 Plus score? It's been 8 months now. They had done the score for the regular iPhone 7. And they also had done it for both the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus. But why not for the iPhone 7 Plus?

I feel sorry for ppl who think DXO is paid. they said same when pixel topped the charts. Now pixel is also on sale, then how DXO will ignore them and make htc new King?. See, it's simple. manufacturers put some serious effort on camera, then they think they have best camera. But they want approval. Because If only manufacturer say they got best, ppl will say "everyone says so". So they approach DXO mark and ask them to test the device. If they get best score, they brag about It. If they can't, they don't. But not everyone address DXO. but we have examples from the past. when Motorola announced Moto X pure, it also said their phone got 3rd best in DXO. and that was okay coz x pure was significantly cheaper than ip6 and S6.

As soon as I read the specs in "announcement" news, I thought it'll top DXO mark. because, what is left? Bigger pixels? Check. dual pixel auto focus? Check. OIS? check. widest Aperture? check.
S8 has all but OIS. Pixel loses dual pixel auto focus as well.
BTW, lack of dual camera isn't a deal breaker for me. Actually it isn't a factor, it's just an extra. But less interesting things about U11 are,
1)battery. With QHD LCD, 3000mah is on smaller side, specially if the phone is comparatively big,thick. Slimmer OP3T has 3400mah and smaller Mi6 has 3200mah. They could have easily put in a bigger battery, period.
2)speakers. First they messed the boomsound, and now the front single speaker in place of earpiece is really tiny compared to 10. Also, the 3.5mm jack. phone is thick, with enough bezels, still packing comparatively small battery, then what "U" did htc with the space u saved with the removal of 3.5mm jack?!

There's another piece of detail HTC misses to disclose. But with the camera specs given, I could only conclude U11's image sensor to be donning an IMX362 (Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom ZE553KL, Vivo Xplay6) or an IMX333 (Galaxy S8/S8+). And well, we have yet to see scores for either of the S8 duo, for the G6, and for the recent Xperia models so you might want to hold your horses on "who's king and who's back" or "whoever paid who" stuff

Same here, I got myself the HTC 10 and the camera is truly the best I have used especially in low light.
I guess the U11 will even be miles better

Dxo mark is full of crap with their ratings always have been. It's the person behind the camera that makes the difference.
