nokia X7 why only stereo speakers on the bottom part? maybe much better if each speaker is placed at the top-right and bottom-right or maybe at the top-left and bottom left,it can do best for watching movie in a landscape mode, so that we can feel the beauty of stereo audio output. not only on the right side or left side using the landscape viewing.

The UX is so rich on Android and iOS devices that Nokia realized it needs to adopt another OS just so it can compete properly.

Laurynas, 12 Apr 2011Yes, Operating System optimization can help to save some CP... moreWell said! The real reason why S^3 don't have full Flash like Froyo devices have is because the 680 MHz CPU can't take it. No matter how optimized the OS is as these fanboys claims it cannot have full Flash because the CPU is too old to run it. Flash Lite 4 is inferior to Flash 10.x found on Android phones.

However, I do use the phone's camera to scan QR codes quite often these days, and yes, I tried a phone without auto focus and had a hard time to scan in the QR code.

For regular photo shooting, I always use a dedicated DC and always half press for auto focus before actually taking the photo, and it doesn't take a genius to do that.

I'd bet a good number of them used Symbian at some point.

So why these users ditched Symbian? Or else, why most other manufacturers who also made Symbian phones some point in the past, also ditched Symbian?

If Symbian is as good as you said, why "less" people are using them now?

Firstly, how interesting is it that a single piece of real Nokia news goes up and instantly there are ~130 comments? Whatever else they are up to, Nokia is definitely worth the time to a lot of people.

Second, I'm liking the design of the E6. Definitely smells of BB, but that's a nice taste. Having played with the "Touch and Type" Nokias, I can vouch for the touch + bar form factor's utility.

Third, the X7. I have to say it doesn't really grab me. The design is just a bit incogruous - a more unibody design (like the N8) would have been more welcome and I'm not a fan of the angled corners.

Still, will be looking out for a comprehensive review of Anna. If it's really the software update we've all been waiting for, AND it makes its way to the N8 (with camera software updates) THEN N8 will almost certainly be my next phone.

                        c'mon Nokia, you're almost there! :--D

I don't have anything against Nokia or Symbian so you don't need to swear at me like a child. I'm fan of whatever is at the top currently so don't even get into brand name loyalty with me. I follow top of the line devices to find one that best fits my daily usage regardless of brand, this makes me completely unbiased.

Instead of finding decent information about new devices I see fanboys insensibly bashing competing products with no support or false statements.

1080p is 2MP so an equivalent statement to yours is that it would run fine on 768MHz, which is more than 680MHz. Add to that all the stuff running in the background, and 680MHz looks even less likely. Fact is, complicated video codecs require a lot of cpu power.

My phone has an arm 450MHz cpu and it cant even run 720p smoothly.

To all who talk about Nokia phones not having fast processors...they are extremely powerful for Symbian. Android and other OSes are bulky and require too much processing power which in turn usually drain batteries more quickly. The 680Mhz processors in new Nokia phones is equivalent to 1Ghz or higher processors that run other OSes (like Android). Right now the Nokia E71 and E51 is faster than some Android phones and the E71/E51 only have a 369Mhz processor!!!!!!
