Force Majeure, 22 May 2017The Exynos are already 16 or 14 nm right?14nm. HiSilicon and MediaTek are at 16nm. But only for the Exynos 78xx, 7420 and 8890. None are really into competeting with the SD660 (maybe the 7420 at a certain level maybe)

When the SD660 goes to 10nm, it will outperform the SD835.

Useless bench's, it doesn't measure the power efficiency, since 2015 until now all processors are overpowered.

Herodroid, 22 May 2017Well, probably just CPU, because GPU is uncomparrable to SD8xxAdreno 512 scored 30827 in 3d Antutu benchmark...and this number already close to huawei P10 kirin 960 gpu and also beat the shit of Galaxy Note 5 (2 y ears ago flagship)..

according to this score ...its already tell that Adreno 512 = 1.7x Adreno 510 ..(which mean good enough for 1080p panel playing decent games)

Xiaomi will sell this for only less than $180..but not samsung/ oppo/ sony..

But for geekbench 3D test..this wil be different story..because the on and off screen test will only tell the fps number....not overall picture of gpu capabilities..

More than the performance improvement (the SD 653 was capable enough), I am looking forward to the better efficiency of the 14 nm SD 660. I hope there will be a Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2017) with SD660 and 5000+ mAh battery. What a monster that will be!

"Can it beat or at least match the 625?"

It doesn't have to beat the 625 in anything but power efficiency, since the 653 was already faster than the 625, it only has to consume less power than the 625 to be a win-win for all situations. If 660 is a better battery performer than 625 it's will be the best mid-range chip around. (:
