Upload date: April 12, so, whatever the user shows you there, you have no idea if he isn't running a beta or other pre-release on that phone.
Additionally, you don't even know if he uses Wi-Fi, 4G, 3G or WAP dial-up. :)
Interesting how easily you can be manipulated via a Youtube video. I would love to have you as a customer of mine. If all it takes to impress you or discourage you is a Youtube video ... well, perfect! ;)
It is one thing if you like what you see or not. It is another to bad-mouth something without actually having used it.

Get real!, 14 Apr 2011You forgot to add "in my opinion" to your comment... moreI don't have to try out the new browser. The video don't lie and it shows the new browser as slow. Its loading time is slow and it loads webpages like a turtle. Even the Pinch to Zoom is not smooth.
Hit the 4:14 mark on the video and you'll see its poor performance.

a... moreKeep dennying it lags. Do you honestly believe that Symbian Anna will magically turn S^3 on par with Android and iOS? Don't delude yourself. Android and iOS are superior alternatives and Nokia has the audacity to charge a premium for a phone with 3 year old specs. They are just fooling people.
Look at the date on the video and see it was posted the day Symbian Anna was announced. That Symbian version you saw in that video is most likely the final version that will be rolled out and it's still slow. That's the meager 680 MHz processor in action.

i guess this is a welcome improvement, but why do nokia insist on giving a small ram? when all phones were getting 380-512mb nokia provided only 128, now with ram in decent devices 512-1024mb nokia upgraded to 256! i remember when i played with my brothers 5800 that the major problems were the crappy resistive screen and the small ram, when i opened skyfire and a dictionary app simultanously the phone crashed! i don't know if symbian is less rsource-hungry (i used to think so before 5800!) but i wonder why do nokia insist on being behind every other major manufactrur with ram and cpu speed! thank god that microsoft force them to use a standard 1ghz cpu and 512mb ram in WP7 devices!

a... moreAmen...
Android OS still plagued of issues and bugs, you can browse anyware.
I used to have Android phones, but for an Phone, is a good MP3 Player, IS NOT GOOD FOR PHONE....not even can record calls out of the box, too many crashes, I need to restart more often than any iOS or WMP.
Google is not behind their products, even the carriers lie T Mobile and manufacturers like LG and Sony have too many problems around Android. The Android market is awful, plagued of USELESS freeware.
Kinectics are made by a child, maybe that's why that OS is pular, my list can go on, sold too many Android phones is not mean is a good OS...
Is like...."eat s**t, millions of flies can't be wrong??" NO WAY

[deleted post]Funny you say that! Up to now, Symbian still can keep up with any other phone OS. In many cases, it even is superior but then, if you go for eye-candy and a million useless apps only ... ... ... enjoy your toy! :)

I haven't seen any Flash support in the iPhone's browser, even not in the latest iOS. Besides that, tell me the things the iPhone browser does better than the Nokia browser.
Have you even bothered to try out the new Nokia browser or do you base all of your judgment on 2 screenshots and what others presume in articles what the browser may be like?

I'm glad they have finally made such a big improvement on their browser. For this former Symbian user, it (among other things) came several months too late.

android is still a battery hog, multitasking is ok at best, fragmented as hell...
at least nokia is fixing symbian's faults, that's what this is
and no one will believe a video from a phone which isnt on sale yet...

They can't even make a decent browser to match the one on the iPhone that came out 4 years ago. Nokia fans have gotten so used to these mediocre interface and performance that a little improvement like the one on PR 2 is huge for them.

A cell phone browser's speed isn't really that important since it isn't meant to deliver you a desktop-like experience. As long as the browser renders the page without major errors and in a reasonable time, it is more than acceptable.
BTW: last time I checked, most of the other browsers don't support Flash right out of the box. :)

IE9 scores 130, Opera 11.10 around 258.. so i guess its good for a mobile phone to have such score on the html test page

You need to have a new phone in order to get this, you phone MUST be running NATIVE Symbian 3, and have special new hardware (only for N8, X7, E6, C7, etc.) We are out of luck for old Nokias!!! Not even the CFW firmwares can make it happen!!
