tonez210, 24 May 2017Because s8 didn't sell that much. It takes a long time to develop and produce an innovative smartphone. This is not Sony that just recycles phones every year.

Cause S8 and S8+ are a bit expensive and didn't sale that much as their expectation.
they should name it S for Sailor Star/Sailor moon. that would surely be a hit hahaha.

        Moon Prism Power...... Make Up...!

"notes that development of the phone has begun 3 to 4 months earlier than scheduled, adding that production is also expected to start a few months early."

In the end many thing will go wrong and they will delay it again. Why even bother rushing like this? Even with S8 delay they couldnt get the embedded fingerprint sensor to work. S9 will have a lot of delay if they put all the latest innovation in there. I heard they had made stretchable display. Where is Galaxy X anyway? Keep on delaying. Next year is 2018 already. The year that Samsung promised to show so much things. Promised to show first flexible phone. They even promised 5G network. They promised 11K display before Winter Olympics in 2018. How is all that project going?

Because s8 didn't sell that much.

Surely making the codename public makes the need for a codename redundant?
