Like you would buy a perfect smartphone with a Carl Zeiss 3MP lens currently ? Stop messing around guys...
Now HTC is talking, time to show the path, not to follow (like Samsung did with Apple). Let's not forget that Samsung had already reached 12MP with their Pixon12 with good quality pictures. Why going back to 5MP last year ?!

This is HTC cashing in on all the wan*ers out there who think that the more megapixels the better. The boss of HTC is a very smart woman!

Seriously megapixels are useless and eats only big space if the sensor and imaging is bad.

"If this video is authentic, then HTC might be on the way to start a mobile camera revolution".
A battery revolution would be much more welcome. On a scale from 1 to 10 I would rank at least trippled batterylife with same size/weight at 10. Better camera beyond 5-8MP? I say, close to the bottom end. A 2 maybe. Beyond a certain level one just gets diminishing returns.

Come on HTC, focus on bigger issues, such as battery life and screen quality! (S-LCD can't compete with S-AMOLED+ and you know it!)

in imaging department nothing beats Nokia N8.
entertainment will go to Android, business and professional-class users will always choose WP7 for its stability and productivity.

16MP!!!! now that is just stupid...seriously guys who needs 16MP there are professional Cameras costing more than 500$ with smaller number of MPs
I like Htcs' phones and the Sensation will surely be a hit, and knowing that there are a lots of costumours who are just eager for having bigger numbers this phone might just be a hit aswell
but it's still stupid :s

The video seems fake!
If you compare it with any HTC promotion video you realize it's very different style-wise

Apple will answer this innovation with a 8MP iPhone in year 2013.

If anyone want a WP7-phone, why choose a Nokia when you can get a much better phone from HTC? If you want the "best" camera, choose one from Sony. If you like Symbian then Android is the most logical choice when Symbian is officially dead in late 2012.
