I'm not surprised Samsung got sued by Apple. Checking out the Samsung Galaxy, the resemblance is just too obvious.

i agree this time with apple. its hard when you spend millions in developing a product. then someone comes along and copies it. usually a cheap chinese knock off. in this case a korean one.
i like samsung products. but they blatently clone someone elses ideas. thats a bit naughty.

Regardless of which phone you think is superior and your feelings about Apple Inc. there's no denying that there wasn't a trend for big touchscreens with minimal buttons until the iPhone 1 came along.
There's a reason they call it a game changer, whether or not Samsung directly copied Apple's design the influence it's had on the whole mobile market is quite apparent. Everyone wants to make an iPhone killer, but basing their designs around an iPhone to try and compete isn't innovative, it's jumping on the bandwagon, stifling innovation if anything.
I wonder what these tech companies could come up with if they weren't chasing market share and next quarter's share price...

Plus samsung was there b4 b4 iPhone ever knows what a mobile was so who is copying who be real apple I hope one of u selfish apple person look at this comment and think Samsung and Htc and menu more open the phone so we can do what ever wi like whit it and for freeeeeeeeee yes the word free for apple is like too close for comfort :apple u pay music games applications ....well all that on a brick oh no thanks android rooks os apple no thanks ur a cheat I hope people will see this soon

Samsung not innovative? WTF!! They brought Amoleds into the picture. Nothing beats Amoled. Period. They brought HD recording and playback into the picture. THAT'S INNOVATIVE! They brought the first 12MGPX cam. They brought the first built in projector. They brought the Hummingbird which at the time was the most advanced chipset.-Not only the most advanced at the time, but just epically advanced at that point in time. Nothing even compared. Now We have Super Amoled Plus, and the Exynos chipset that could support 2 built in HD displays and and external third one all simultaneously.. If it had two built in displays of course. And people can say Samsung is not innovative??????????????????

Apple is just afraid that their well-known iPHONEs ( w/c has the same design from 1st gen to present)might be beaten by the SAMSUNG GALAXY S II that is just about to be released. Apple is just known as APPLE. (status symbol products) samsung phone are GOOD phones w/ are more affordable & performs just like or even better than iPhones. this is just my opinion. SAMSUNG KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK... !!

And The A4 is a copy of the Hummingbird cpu. Whoah.. So instead of producing the A4 Samsung should be sueing Apple for copying their cpu. And 1-3 is directly a Samsung cpu.

I hope Samsung KICKS Apple's butt... Serves Apple right for being SO OVERLY GREEDY. Besides, now that Samsung is making MORE SUPERIOR products than Apple, who's gonna buy the over-priced and over-delayed iphone 5 now??? LOL
If Apple really wanted to "protect patents for iphone" then they shudda started with the Chinese in China. Those Chinese factories are churning out $10 iPhone REPLICAs and selling them everywhere from Beijing to Dubai to the Philippines. My friend actually bought one to impress his chicks in the bar (too dark to tell the difference)..LOL
Also, similarities don't mean SAME. Hard to prove that in court, unless you got Harry Potter's "PENSIEVE" and can look into another man's past memories and secrets. Pensieves are banned in court, anyway. LOL.
Right now, its just Apple SOUR GRAPING coz their IT department couldnt match up to Android and Samsung Galaxy S2. iPhone looks antiquated next to SGS 2. So how can Apple say that SGS COPIED iphone???? Thats a load of BULLOCKS.

I agree with this article. Apple profited from Samsung's chips, and Samsung profited also by making products that are "similar" but NOT EXACTLY SAME as the products of Apple. Give and Take, boys. If you both want to play in the same playground, then you boys just have to learn to SHARE.
Too bad that Steve Jobs and Apple are NOT good with SHARING. Lol. Apple is all about MAXIMUM PROFITS, so they slap lawsuits on anyone who tries to gain anything (even shadows and trash) from Apple.
Why can't Apple be more "open" like Android?? The reason I loved Android is because it strikes perfect balance between "social responsibility" (free help through free apps), and profits. Apple is MR. PROFIT MACHINE, and will not give anything for free unless 100% sure that somebody will buy at twice the cost.. Look at their bumper cases for iphone 4. You can get an EXACT DUPLICATE of those plastic things through a Chinese vendor for 2 bucks; get it from Apple store and you pay $29 -- or 14 times the black market's retail price. WHOA, THATS A TRUCKLOAD OF PROFITS, and thats just for the "accessory" part of the iphone. Wait till you get to the iphone itself !!
I hope SAMSUNG slaps Apple witless, and strike back for us "poor folk" who don't have the THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS to buy that over-hyped but under-specced iphone.
Also, there is NO BASIS for Apple's claims. You technically cannot sue anyone and any product that "LOOKS LIKE" your product. The burden of proof lies with Apple, and if they can whip out their crystall balls (Not allowed in court) and point out that EXACT document or evidence proving that Samsung USED THE EXACT SAME BLUEPRINT OF IPHONE for the Samsung galaxy S line, then I will eat my rubber shoes in public.. haha.
Actually, if Apple wants to be technically correct about it, they should SUE FIRST the Chinese phone manufacturers -- they are selling EXACT COPIES of not just iPhone 3GS, but also iphone 4, iphone 3, and iphone 2G, everywhere from Beijing to Dubai to the Philippines.. And the cost is just a measly $10 per "iphone". My friend actually bought one, and uses it to impress chicks in the bar (its too dark to tell the difference).. LOL

I'm a morning person and I use my phone outside a lot. Last time I checked, HTC phone was extremely frustrating.
About processor, neither HTC nor Samsung phones use dual-cores to their full potential. OOOOOOO big deal benchmarks... =.=

Besides both CPU and GPU cores are designed by somebody else. My bet is Apple paid well some unknown chinese company to do the design.
