As it says, microsopic display...it would have been good if you would have done a point to point comparison, like microscopic view of screen icons, pictures and playing video...huh

IPS LCD looks sharper and more balanced because it has better subpixel quality and division. SAMOLED is a lot less balanced and may have the better specs on paper, but just because a screen can be brighter and show more saturated colors doesn't mean its a good screen. Try watching the SAMOLED for a few hours straight, and your eyes will be tired, much more so than watching an IPS LCD.
The same thing occurred with slightly aged HDTV's that had intense software color matrixes; contrast would be great, but it is extremely hard on our eyes. More contrast and brightness = harder to keep watching comfortably.
Will be interesting to see if SAMOLED plus addresses this issue!

Every color is exaggerated on a Super AMOLED screen and you're calling that the best? You're just jumping on the bandwagon.

under a microscope , it seems that IPS LCD is the best display , but we don't use our smartphones under one , in real life , IPS LCD is a good display , but who chooses "good" over "the best" ??? No one , Super AMOLED is clearly the best display in the world , and I thank Samsung for creating such a technology that combines vivid colors , viewing angles and yet so much power-efficient , I can't wait to see the Super AMOLED Plus !!!

That's a very good comparison: LG trying to prove a point and it did: it currently has the best display from the market...oh, wait, where's the retina display?? Someone obviously "forgot" to add the Iphone 4 in the shootout :)

Meaning yellow ain't yellow but greenish....white ain't white but grayish....
Most natural picture is still the Retina display in my honest opinion!

it s not a "microscope a ballayage electronique", the one which can see "alien insects" on a hair!!!

The Super AMOLED on my SGS now have burned- in images similar to how Plasma TVs have burned- in static images. It's now damaged. It's still good but disappointing considering that it's just a bit over 6 months since I had this phone. Super AMOLED is so good though that it's hard to go back to LCD. Anyways, BRB, I better find a sucker to sell this phone to. =D

this is so stupid, display is not all about resolution. super AMOLED is better than LCD even though most LCD's have a better resolution

A better comparison would be SGSI9100 which should match or exceed LG Optimus 2X IPS LCD sub-matrix display.
