I would buy Redmi Note 5 with Snapdragon 660, 6GB Ram , 64 GB Flash, Dual camera for 15,000
Snapdragon 660 has only 10% less performance to.SD 835 .

Better to buy ZTE Z17(411$ for 6GB RAM & 64GB ROM, with 2x optical zoom) or wait for ZTE Axon8

I don't think asking 500+ for a phone with these specs is a bad deal, especially if the camera setup turns out to be competitive. It just feels like a completely different product from the previous mid range OnePlus devices.

Oneplus 2 was a failure due to SD 810 chipset. they reduced to 19999 after 7-8 months. but oneplus 3T price was not reduced. It should have been reduced to 21999-22999 now. but they didn't do that. More people can buy . Look at honor 8. they launched for 29999. now price is 21999 in amazon. Oneplus is not doing that. after 7 or 8 months they should reduce 7k-8k from the original price. At the time of 2018 February oneplus 5 price should be 24k-25k. If they don't do that It will be a loss for them..

AnonD-202167, 09 Jun 2017WOW i see lots of fanboy complaining about the price. i wan... moreWhy is it excluding Xiaomi and Huawei tho? hahaha. OP is never in the same league as Samsung, LG and etc to begin with so if anything it should be excluding brands like Samsung, LG and OP should be compared with brands like Xiaomi and etc.

RaghavaZ, 09 Jun 2017Prices are decent but anything above 40,000₹ is a strict no... moreEven an iPhone?!? iPhones are worth no more than Rs. 10000, given the stupid OS they run

Prices are decent but anything above 40,000₹ is a strict no no. Even the 8gb version's price is little bit on the higher side. With S7, G6 and even an iPhone in that range, there is no point in buying OP5. Until unless OnePlus provides better software and hardware support for their products, they can't price their phones at par with established brands' flagships.

WOW i see lots of fanboy complaining about the price. i want to see all other brands excluding xiaomi and huawei releasing a beast like this at a price like this. then maybe u will shut up and appreciate one plus for being awesome

AnonD-146024, 09 Jun 2017Sadly, Samsung has stopped price drops of Samsung flagship ... moreSamsung is providing discounts for S7/S7E if bought from their own website. They are selling S7 for 37000₹ few weeks back. If it is indeed selling at that price even now, then good luck fir OnePlus.

The price is OK considering you are getting it half of the price of Samsung Galaxy s8 at least you are getting 80% of job done on one plus five compare to s8 but problem is Nokia is coming with 45k flagship and Nokia been able to maintain it's legacy of class leading cameras and ozo audio enhancements than one plus five will face stiff competition

at the time when oneplus released 3 at 27999 INR then also many of us criticized the pricing
and considered it to be to high, but after the release of the device it becomes an instant hit,
and the most successful and critically acclaimed oneplus device ever.

Looking at the upgrades that oneplus is giving this time around the asking price is OK in my opinion, I mean lets just add some amount to the last years price and lets see whether or not we reach this years price.
                                  27999 + 2000 (QHD display) + 2000 (SD 835) + 1000 (dual camera setup).

So for those of us for whole the last years price was too high this years price is also too high!
But for those of us who believed that oneplus has provided a gem of device as a very good
price should have the same feeling this year also.

But one thing that I am also annoyed with, is the design, they should not have decided to copy the iphone.
