Sony Xperia Touch review

11 June 2017
Sony Xperia Touch is a projector that can turn any surface into an Android interface with full touch functionality. It's almost like the ultimate high-tech toy sent from the future.

So it's just like I said then. This thing dramatically and horribly over priced garbage!!
$1700 for this weak thing!?????

And you didn't even tell us the lumens. Though I doubt it's anything past 100. Probably on a laser rather than LCD at least.
And only one hour of video time in that humongous clunky size? Unless there is areal sized projector in there instead of a pico one.... that's a joke...i don't see how they didn't have room for any decent sized battery. And even then they still would have had room for something!
And you can't even move or budge it without it shutting off???

And even if it had a full sized projector...you can get a 4500 lumen native 1080p one for $400

And Lenovo already has prototype phones with touch interactions with their swivel 50 lumen laser projector.....a whole phone that would cost even that much.

This for me is way better use of resources and investment than the home speaker / personal assistant craze that's taking over. If more R&D was put into ideas like this, we'd probably be well on our way to reaching intuitive 'hologram-like' interfaces in a about a decade's time.
