"People with better taste in sound will have to look elsewhere", can't agree more :)

I've recently been to an audio shop, so I tried everything I knew about and a few extras and here's my conclusion:
"If you like constant bass pounding with very little of anything else, then I suppose the might work for you". This rule seems to work for practically any sub $500 headphones these days. My Ultimate Ears Triple.fi are failing and I can't seem to find a decent replacement (not going into $1000 category). I thought about wireless option but this doesn't seem like its any good (not yet, at least).

In my country, you can buy some actually "good" headphones for the price of these. Like Beyerdynamic DT770's for far more less than the about 200 euros Sony's asking for these - DT770's also have some extra bass, but has okay sound quality otherwise - for their price. Ridiculous stuff, Sony. :D

this review sounds like it is coming from an inexperienced person. these are bass focused headphones, and people love them including me. you should not expect senheiser type of frequency on these. the person who did these review is definately not a bass lover. you are just trying to force your opinion on others. stick to smartphones GSMArena, thats your expertise. leave headphones to those who know about them.

Meh for all picks around hire, the sound stage is most important, when you have narrow wide one you can tune hi low more to your liking. So preferable is semi open back design. For a sub bass you need one's that are really capable of going down to 30Hz so that it can overlap with regular 80~120Hz with this Sony you certainly won't get that, in fact I don't know will you be able to get it with any WiFi ones up to date (as it cuts of both low and high one's a bit so guess what good old 6.5mm jack is hire to stay). Future more we can judge the sound quality by the type of the used diagrams or better say rare earth material for them. Beryllium ones start at about 350$ (we can only call those HiFi today) & some goes for up to cuple K$$. For regular folks the more affordable & even budget ones with nimidium magnets & regular material based good one's get generally in 120~150$ category. Everything else is less important. I can highly recommend Superlux HD-668B in the budget for music lovers (not HiFi) category. Everything else you are interested in you better look at HeadFi & similar org site's. In the end I agree with this review.

I had these headphones for like 3 months. The sound and bass boost for me was okay. The only problem I had with them was the material they are made from. I'm a huge Sony fan and forever will be but they fell less than 30 centimeters from my hands to the table and they broke. I hope they can work on that in the future.

Do you want more balanced and clear sound? Choose a pair of Sony h.ear on Wireless NC mdr-100abn or Sony MDR-1000X, both are awesone for any genre, I'm using a red mdr-100abn for a few months and it has a wow effect to it, you can't understand until you try.

From what i get from all these reviews, this headphone is only for heavy bass lovers but if you are normal person who likes to hear all kind of music, don't get these. This headphone is bad for neutral sound.

This review is contradict with most reviewer out there, the thing that make me snap is the fact that they didn't review it as it supposed, this is bass centric headphones, not studio one

The way the reviews is presented is like reviewing a compact camera for it manual mode and expecting dslr grade result

People with better taste ? Who are you to decide who has a better taste in Music and who does not ? Are you Superior to more than 90% people out there who like it ? Don't try to push your preferences on others.
And as it is quite evident from your review, you just outright hate Sony. This one review is completely in contrast to what most other reviewers out there say.
Suggestion to GSMARENA if anyone is reading this - Make sure some reasonable person is doing these reviews, not some brand hating person. Or if you can't do it, just stop doing these kind of reviews.

I have these, and i can tell you, even if the Bass button is activated i can clearly hear the mids and the highs in perfect clarity. The bass is incredibly deep like you never heard before, if you like bass music, hip hop dubstep and ect. these are the best you can buy, just check the real reviews on Youtube :D

But with a neutral sounding headphone they can enjoy everything. With a bass heavy one they can only enjoy a few genres. And when the latter has a high price, it is a rather stupid decision to buy one.
