What and how many apps do you essential want open ALL THE TIME? The point is that there should be minimal apps running so your battery does not drain much.
Useless if you have to turn off data and wifi to save the limitations of sealed battery. And everyone who carries powerbanks think it's normal. Please.
If you want all the RAM and all the apps open, with all notifications on, at least these manufacturers should provide at least 6000 mAh sealed batteries. I just can't stand having to charge before I go home.

And there is no shortage of apps these days. With 4gb mine is always full. And the system has to keep cleaning those background apps. If only most phones use high quality speedy storage , with more space. maybe then they can implement what windows and desktop oss have all along. And apps would keep running and not need to be refreshes from a save status

This will eventually chase people away from their products. I agree with you, I'll rather buy a gaming laptop with this price, and source for a reasonable priced smartphone.

There's already a speed test between 4 and 6 GB RAM, and there's no significant difference.

Wow, samsung. U really makes me surprised with that almost a thousand of dollars for a stylus phone only? R u joking? S8+ already much expensive and now this. If u can put fingerprint on screen feature and 8 gigs of Ram, I'll buy it! But with 6 gigs of Ram? No way!

It will be the around that high price in Asia. After much heavy use with the Note7 for the 45 days I had it, that internal battery just will NOT give me more than 6 hours of SOT before it reaches that 15% left warning. That's just using it with wifi. At least I could just swap batteries with a removable system and not need to bring a powerbank to top up power.
It's just a bad thing that the masses want very thin phones, yet carry powerbanks or keep plugging in to power outlets when out of the house. It's silly.

I'm sure they'll offer some great gifts like a Gear S3 with the purchase of the device to make it easy to justify compared to cheaper competition like the OnePlus 5. They did similar with the Note 7, offering a gear fit 2 (a $250 value gift) with pre-order.
That, in conjunction to being a lot more feature packed and versatile, made it pretty easy to justify its price compared to the OnePlus 3.

1000eur is just robbery
you can buy decent laptop/2in1 and a good phone for that price and you will be 10 000 times more productive than this shiny coaster
what is happening this year everyone puts their price up even some iphone wannabes like huawei cost almost as s8
electronics are getting cheaper to manufacture and yet the price is going up
suddenly iphone is like a midranger and to be honest i think is the phone with most value at the moment and easier to sell when you want to buy the new one
with ios11 they managed to copy almost every usable function from android and now they have somewhat reasonable price when they start from 32GB
only thing they need to do now is to remove itunes and i will never buy android again
god bless the poor people going to buy this expensive glass sheet just so they can say they can afford just to pretend they can like with s8 commenters who blindly think tthey are rich and buying something different than s7 edge with black borders instead of keys
