They just played safe.... Nothing out of the box... I was dissapointed when i heard there was no quad hd display... It was time enough to bring quad hd display to their phones.... Then lack of ois..... This is totally not acceptable.... They say they dont need ois since their software is good enough and eis is sufficient.... Secondary camera doesnot has eis or ois at all....

Bebe Rexha, 02 Jul 2017And this is why you shouldn't skip a numerical generation. ... moreLet's put it another way, rather than obsessing about the number/name, they should have worried a lot more about the product itself.

Phone is really not that good as fans suggest neither it's that bad as critics say.
Add the price of official case and earphone accessory and it gets price in between 35 k to 36 k. So neither like great value for money either.
I am using it from last 4 days and I am ok with it. That jelly effect I saw at first day and thought it was a feature. Not a deal breaker though.

They lost their ground on pricing category. Also I have expected water proof and more innovation in the display section (like S8). But it is good to see one plus kept the head phone jack (they listened to their customers).

The most solid flagship phone this year is actually the weakest one in hardware standpoint.
              LG G6!

Really, I could hardly even find a complain about it.
Boot loop was rare to none.

Xperia XZ Premium was close, but the major camera distortion became a thing, but other than that, it is still my top flagship phone of Q1 2017.

And this is why you shouldn't skip a numerical generation.
It can always lead to failure.

Samsung skipped the 6th Note, and boom.
Sony skipped the 4th Z, and everything went down the road.

meh. still no storage expansion. smaller camera sensor without OIS. slightly more expensive. I'd an S7 Edge easily over this.

well i dont know about other countries but in India i got op5 for 24$ dollars (1500 rupees) more than op3 so it is completely worth for the price atleast here since it is cheaper than all those flagship phones by atleast 350$.

No phone is perfect, but the 1+5 is pretty good deal and will get better as time goes on (assuming some discounts like most flagships).

I'll never buy it though, because it is missing one vital and essential feature and that is the SD card slot. I can live without the headphone jack, but not without SD card slot (not yet, at least).

Right now, out of all the Snapdragon 835, I'm liking the XZ Premium and HTC U11 the most. Not perfect by any means, but much better than 1+5(more expensive too of course).

I think 1+ has done right with 1+5. But the price is not justified because better options available at similar or little higher price. Not a value for money anymore.

Let's face true - OnePlus became average company with usual Chinese cheap phones problems. And 5 isn't flagship killer anymore, it's just OP flagship. Overpriced, glitchy, cheated and badly supported. And they've lost own unique design, became just shameless copycat. It's really sad after perfect 3&3T. Don't think next phone will be attractive to me, now there are a number of more affordable but better in specs&design flagships. And this number will increase in time. So OP lost it's trone forever. Disappointed company.

Yes you heard it right, phone was disappointed many users. Phone doesn't look classy like OP3T , my phone has some type of colour fade on antenna line, when I approached ONEPLUS they said it was done me.

Too little new for too much extra money.
+ ignoreing problems doesn't solve problems,it just puts people off, once you have annoyed or lost the faith of paying customers who have a wide choice of makers devices to spend their money on instead,it's very, very difficult to regain their faith and money..

I think it's breaking sales record because there's more availability. Not necessarily better, overall.
