The new flagship doesn't seem to live up to the "Never Settle" promise.

Sorry but I'm sticking with my 3T and then moving away from OnePlus altogether in the future

Just because a company claims a product is breaking sales records that doesn't make it true.

"jelly effect", dubious camera marketing overspeccing the telephoto camera, benchmark cheating, some even complaining how DASH gives them a (mild) shock when using the phone while charging... that's the breakdown of your price-hike!

OP3T was a great phone, which (IMHO) had even better design (at least a lot more "original"), all OnePlus had to do was better the camera, update the SoC, maybe even upgrade the screen or bring waterproofing or allow for SD cards. But noooo... simply put, the overhype company overpromised and underdelivered --- the drones may still defend them every way they can, but that's just what happened.

I cancelled my pre-order for the OnePlus 5 when I heard about the jelly effect and bought a OnePlus 3T. Before this I was kinda okay about the design, lack of waterproofing and the camera not being as good as advertised. But with the jelly effect it's all one big disappointment for me. Really disappointed with OnePlus this time. Then again maybe this is just OnePlus' pattern. OPO was a legend but OP2 was controversial due to the removal of NFC. OP3 and OP3T is almost a perfect phone but then OP5 came. Hope they learned a lesson and perfect the OnePlus 6

Seems like oneplus is continuing its tradition of releasing one good flagship followed by a disappointing one, have the 3t and will wait for the 6 or jump ship

I m little disappointed with specs of OP5.
now OP is no any more 'FlagShip Killer'.
Many key features were misses from latest ONEPLUS.
OP5 cant stand together with S8,HTC U11, Xperia XZ P.
OP only used Latest SNAPDRAGON with huge RAM. Camera cld b better and looking like i7S replica.
They misses features like UHD Screen, any IP rating, quality speakers.
I hope we will see better specs in OP6.

Ideal flagship should be something like coming note8 or better. Also just a phone is not enough. Important is also support, extra media devices and gadgets like samsung gears or sony's headphones, connectivity with game console, car and some intelligent home devices. Of course pens, dials, pro apps, exclusive and fresh hw and sensors are all welcome. All of that is important as end of classical phone is near. Soon will come foldable computers, ar glasses and maybe even some magical sticks, 10 years is a lot after all.

The 3/3T are that good, that you don't need to upgrade to the 5. Better design, better cameras (OIS), and lot of other goodies. Very disappointed with the OnePlus 5

For me, the main disadvantages are
                      1. Same Screen (QHD would make me think and BRIGHTER)
                      2. Removal of OIS
                      3. No IP68 types of waterproofing
                      4. Smaller Battery
Only with these added features would make the £499 Price hike IMO.

1+5 is a real disappointment!!! For a 40000 phone, I expected much more features like bezeless display, water and dust resistance etc.... Not worth at this price point..

If for almost the same price You can get Lg G6, then why even bother with this phone? Sure, Snap 835 is better than 821, but do we really need that upgrade? You will change Your phone before 821 would become insufficient.

This is what happen when you try to skip the phone number...remember the Note 7? Samsung skip the number 6 and Note 7 has become a disaster...same goes with this, skip the number 4 but failed with the number 5....Yes we know how much chinese people are tetraphobia about the number but what funny about this is that Xiaomi and Huawei are also chinese manufacturers and that number 4 doesn't scare them at all...

The increased price point while using same old screen, copied design, not so good camera, and lack of water resistance did hurt OnePlus a bit. Though just having SD835 did help in getting good sales but still a lot was expected from OnePlus, considering the increased price. Other than the chipset nothing justifies increased prices.
