Weekly poll: what's your favorite dual cam setup?

Was looking for the "Meh!" option as what I really wish is one huge sensor (by phone standard), say, at 1/2" coupled with very bright lense, OIS, and clever oversampling tech like Nokia's PureView.
With that said though, perhaps I would go with telephoto option to accompany the main big camera.
Btw, lest people forget about the 2014 HTC One M8......

Telephoto is my preference, by far, followed distantly by color + B&W, and then wide.

By the way, DSLR aren't built to fit into pockets. Besides, carrying interchangeable lens requires a dedicated carry case.
It's all based on needs. For most average users, a smartphone or even a point-and-shoot will suffice. And if that does not do the trick for them, a cheap overlay filter might do.
But there are some users, who need DSLR's for getting proper bokeh shots (thanks to actual physics and not an artificial one) or multiple hour exposure night photography, wide apertures or large optical zoom.
Just because you find a DSLR too cumbersome to carry, doesn't mean you have to dismiss them.

A single smartphone camera is not able to deliver nearly lossless zoom and will never be able to simulate a very realistic depth of field effect. Even the Google Pixel only achieves such a great image quality by capturing about 8 images per photograph which is like having 8 identical cameras!!

Portrait lens is the most useful option. Most people who did not vote for the tele option are possibly nerds who never photograph people. You get less perspective distortion with a portrait lens and you don't have to get extremely close to photograph someone.
LG's ultra wide angle lens is nearly useless. You get extreme distortion and even the focus is fixed. Most of the time you could capture the same field of view (even without distortion) with the panorama option or by taking multiple images and stitch them. That's not possible for tele. Moreover 26mm or 30mm is already a wide angle lens.
With a tele lens it's also much better to photograph animals or sports or interesting things like buildings that are far away.

Dual camera is not my favorite. A single camera can do everything that a dual camera can do. DSLRs and digital cameras are still using single lend setup and doing better than a dual lens mobile camera. Google pixels are still the best camera phone and they have only one camera on the back. Dual cameras look rubbish. They are expensive too

Haha, well, I have to admit that this is one of those rare times that I don't have an absolute conviction right away. Basically because they all have their own usability in their own different ways, and so I would prefer to include them all. But to unfortunately choose only one, hmmm it's not so easy...

You know that wide angle + normal means ≈ 28mm + 50mm?
LG's second camera is not a wide angle lens, it's an ultra wide angle lens.

Had an LG G5 and the wide angle camera was superb, tack sharp too. Hope Samsung do this for the Note8.

Actually telephotos can just rely on the telescopes filter, if it is two lenses means you can't use any filter and accessories, that's Steve Jobs start to promote for all the iPhone in past few years.
Actually wide angle can replace by the larger pixel of the sensor, as long as the picture quality above average.
Actually monochrome mix with RGB lenses have chromatic issues and over exposure problem, the low light shot should use a tripod or slow synchronization flash to take better picture.
Actually the bokeh effects can dealing with the camera software.
But who Will Miss the Shot in a Short moment? And who can turn the quickest become super slow motion s?

White pixels is just useless, its just like some filter, any other second sensors like infra or thermo are more useful. Zoom-out second camera is pretty useless as second, would say normal ones are behind in times, its about what FoV it should be - one similar to how we see the world, no? Its like to watch movie recorded in telephoto or in 360° lens without VR headset. Well watching it on tv is hardly similar to real experience. Even with most important 125° fov in front of us we are aware of almost 180° not to mention head moving. Zoom-in is most useful one, there is no limit in using zoom after all(well now I can hardly call something zoom-out one as its also kind of zoom-in from wide fov). But, what I expect next big thing is 180° front and back camera for 360° recording and then playing in VR, maybe dual camera as this for 3D. Or even better front and back dual-triple camera RGB for better low light, high resolution, small size. So my choice would be phone with 12 cameras. Phones are just too thin to use one like in DSLR.

Wide angle for panoramic shots
Normal for everyday
Telephoto for Zoom
Monochrome for overall better picture quality
