Rumors of Samsung Galaxy S8 mini point to 5.3" screen, Snapdragon 821 chipset

03 July 2017
There hasn't been an S mini since the Galaxy S5 mini from 2014. And that wasn't much of a flagship.

Sto... moreWell guess what, that's up to the company to decide, and if you used one, you'll most likely not have the need to have the latest specs, because it's just not necessary. and if u don't like it you don't have to buy it, nobody ever said you have to .so why the hate? It's not like people care about the specs. I'd buy it just cause I like it, but it doesn't necessarily mean i NEED it. Calm down there are more important things in life than complaining about last year's phone specs

The only company that used to know what mini flagship is, was Sony, before the death of the Zs.

Finally Samsung are addressing the 4.7-5inch compact market with good specs, until now only Sony compacts had high end equal internals to their flagships and even they have now held their compacts back a bit. There's a reason Apple still sells its 4.7in handset, it sells! Android have no equal alternative, until now maybe.

Stop defending your sheep master and see the big picture. Sammy rips of their mini and gives crap to the people who wanted a smaller screen. Mini should mean smaller phones, not a lot lower hardware. The phone will be more expensive than op5, so you do the math.

Twiki, 03 Jul 2017That's why they won't make the edges touch sensitive. Then how will you access the edge screen feature?

I used to have an S7 Edge and had to use a case to keep from accidental touches. The AI for accidental touches is okay, but not good enough. I sold it to get a flat-screen phone and am much happier. I will never get a curved screen again due to this.

I know others have been about to use the curved screens okay, but it doesn't work for me.

The mini series has always been known to be "extremely sluggish pieces of junk, quite overpriced aswell with inferior specs yet with a top mid ranger value" and Samsung discontinued them for a reason. Cant believe they would make such a serious mistake again.
