Again Samsung pooping on its costumers, and giving them a ripped version. If you want a mini or compact, go to Sony. At least they don't give crappy mini phones.

Trust me photos and videos don't do it's size any justice. Therefore the S8 mini should be really tiny. And if your a person with a large screen smartphone you'll appreciate going back to a smaller formfactor, less screen but much easier to use

This will eat into Apple territory - its a good move - big screen, small footprint and can easily fit in your pocket.

I would have to hold this in my hands to see if it was worthwhile. I like my Galaxy S7 except for the size. The S8 will never be an option for me because it is way too big.

If specs are true, this phone is a huge strategic mistake. It's big, it doesn't fit in pocket and you can't reach the corners with your thumb.
Basically, instead of taking iPhone SE market share, it takes customers of Galaxy S8, because people buying this would have rather bought S8 or A5 anyway.
Statistics show that 30% of existing iPhones are 4" phones.

Welldone samsung for listening, Hope this rumour is true and fingers crossed it isnt too under spec'd. I dont think that size should reflect power and therefore a mini or compact should be almost or as powerfull as its bigger screened sibling.
Better still put 2 cameras on the back the second been a wide angle call it the Alpha 2 and really steal the show :)

5 inches or 5.5 inches screens ? I think Sony is right on the path making smaller but powerful smartphones hang 4.6 or even small like ray.

It's only 1 cm shorter than the S8, which is 135-138mm, which is no mini, has to be 130-132 MAX, the S4 mini was 123-125mm. 5.2 - 5.3" does not make a mini.
A Redmi 4X 5" is 138-139 and it's smaller than this without being a mini.
I could consider a 4.7"'er, but 5.3 is bigger than Honor 8 and will probably cost 2-3 times as much.
