03 July 2017
There hasn't been an S mini since the Galaxy S5 mini from 2014. And that wasn't much of a flagship.

They do not mention screen resolution. Their screens are so good that I would even suggest a FHD display. It would be a smooth phone with that SD821 processor. A true mini (I do not mean that in a negative way).

Not gonna happen. After months of this rumor, eventually it turns out to be C series. Nice try.

So finally small enough to reach that finger printer scanner.

Perfect phone size. I just want a s8 but a little bit shorter.

If it's priced below € 400 and able to compete with iPhone SE, I'm happy (but better be priced at about € 350 cause SE costs € 300)

If resolution is close to FHD instead of QHD, then it can actually be very fast, on par with OnePlus 3T (same chipset/display resolution), albeit a bit slower due to less RAM.

Long wait for this, this is the future. Ya problems will be the high price. Hopefully other brand to follow, current s8 are slim, but us too long.

Probably very good news but only if that phone gets the components of the big Samsung S8 (Or similar rlly good). As far as the RAM / processor can be eg the Snapdragon 821, I expect an identical camera, at least like the S7. Including a 3.5mm jack, sd card slot, replaceable battery and / or IP67 / 68. The screen may have some lower resolution, but support and udaptes as for S7 / S8.
If its to be mini / compact then only top components + dimensions ~ 130mm, up to 10mm thick and 4,7-5 inch screen. Price? Around the Sony Z3 / Z5 Compact ;)
It could be a good competitor for the iPhone SE and iPhone 7. It's 123.8mm, 138mm for iPhone and the Samsung S8 is almost 15cm.
                          130x68x9,5 / Snap 821 / 4 GB ram / Gorilla Glass 4 / IP68 certified / 5 inches / ~320-350ppi / camera - 12 MP+f/1.7, +OIS, Xenon flash / 3.5mm jack / Quick Charge / ANT+ / good loudspeaker and audio (S5 mini was bad looking at the price and hardware).

I think it's a good idea, but its price should match its specs. . .Otherwise, it won't worth it.

A lot of other phones screensize maybe 4.7" or whatever, but phone may push over 5" etc... the S8 made use of space well, allowing them to have larger phones that felt smaller. Design and well... evolution of efficiency.

5.3 inch with 18.5:16 Ratio is really Mini, I was surprised when I tried the S8 and S8+ the S8 feels really compact and the S8+ not that big, very similar with all the 5.5 inch phones everyone is releasing.

Not many 2:1 screen devices, even lite would be great.
