Anonymous, 04 Jul 2017Sony's quality checking is low, worst quality M Aqua series... moreSo u want to say that from all their phones, having ONE issue on ONE model means it should shut down? Then why didnt Samsung shut down his note series? That was way worse than this, in fact it was dangerous. This is just a minor issue so stop being such a hater. Lol.

AnonD-404798, 03 Jul 2017which version are you using , mine uses 42.43 MB but it can... moreI have version 4.6.C.0.1.8 installed. Would love to get rid of it. But I can't.

Sony Xperia XA is a nice phone. but full of bloatware like spotify 64 MB, spider-man unlimited power (small app, 4,49 MB), plants vs zombies 5,40 MB, NFS most wanted 22,25 MB, Monopoly 11,16 MB, KOBO books 85,50 MB, Bejeweled 2 10,79 MB, AVG Protection 22,59 MB, AR-Effect 50,29 MB, Amazon shopping 52,04 MB.

More than 300 MB of useless crap I'd love to send to the nirvana. But seems that I have to root my phone and void warranty to do so... I can't tell you how much I hate this!

This is sad. Sony's suite of multimedia apps are really awesome and I was hoping eventually they would be the one of the top multimedia suite apps across all mobile platforms (Android & iOS). But now, they will cease to exist even in Sony phones. :(

okcnaline, 04 Jul 2017Tell me that after you have used TouchWiz UI for a few months. How do u know whether I have or not?
But I'm sorry to disappoint you but I've used
              Samsung Galaxy Note 3..S5...S7 edge
              ipod(not a phone but still).iPhone 3gs.iphone 5.iphone 6
Xperia z2.xperia z5 compact.xperia xz. (I'm gonna get my Xperia xz premium today and am gonna keep it for real long but I guess it doesn't count).Xperia C4 and c5.xperia xa1.
              HTC desire 816 and 500.htc one m9.
              Huawei mediapad X1...P8..g8..honor 8.huawei G610
              Xiaomi MI4
LG g5 (LG nexus 5.should I have put it here?)
I guess that patches the ones you could call smartphones..but I've also seen many and I know one thing.companys make mistakes.for Sony it was Xperia z5 premium.being on 4k it was practically eating the battery.the qualcomm snapdragon 810 is a great mistake that isn't Sonys fault but it did cause heat and less power efficiency.and Xperia z5 premium was one of the least durable phones ever.

Other companies make mistakes as well so u can not say all phones of Sony or etc are good (or even fit ones desires and lifestyle) but there's one thing that u can do.generalizs a rom.but blaming the looks of an android phone's software is silly.(especially ones with snapdragon) u could change it to whatever u can imagine. Touchwiz has improved yes.so have all the other phones!if they hadn't it would have been questionable where all those profits went!so has android(the most simple one made by Google which all roms are based on)but even though they've added more customizations to their UI recently and have changed many codes of stock.it doesn't mean its better than stock.and besides Samsung is much harder to customize compared to Sony or Google!.so rather than buying a phone with Touchwiz on it which has icons which looks better than most others and a statusbar and settings app which is light.id rather buy Sony and change the looks to whatever I wish.even to Touchwiz(the looks!

A pity. I picked this app when I tried to identify some tune and shazam failed but trackID did it, and it always worked well for me. Strange though - there is no information about the shutdown on the trackID web site or in play store...

I could see them using microLED displays as an alternative. No backlight means true blacks, efficient always on display and a thinner display like OLED.

It's good that they kill this bloatware. Android customers mostly care about hardware (good looking and high spec). Sony has OLED TV. I wonder why they can't put OLED screen in their smartphones.
