Good decision on not removing the 3.5 mm headphone jack. Hope such sense comes back into Moto, Apple, HTC & Xiaomi.

Lool look at that fingerprint scanner position and they will be asking for 1000 bucks, we, the buyers are guilty for such things cause we're buying crap like this for this price.

For those who don't know, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be the last phone that has a headphone jack. Samsung will remove the headphone jack on the Galaxy S9 next year, then it will slowly go down to the mid range devices. Better just deal with the lack of headphone jack and move on! Buy bluetooth headphones.

I think that basically it is much better that i don't even comment regarding that fingerprint ... location. Mostly not for the base model, because the standard one is not really so bad (not exactly good, either), but then for the Plus ...

Once more the stupid placement of the fingerprint sensor is verified.
Why don't they learn from their mistakes???
The "in the screen" sensor would be cool, but in reality the best place for fingerprint is at the back. "In the screen" would be cool as SECOND fingerprint scanner (for those that iris scanner or always-on doesn't cover them when the device is on a table).
BTW iris scanner. I use it since 950XL. It really needs improvement to be less awkward. Wider angle capturing of iris and sensitive from more distance.
So, back is ok, BUT NOT THERE!
Again:
- Dangerously close to cameras (smudging).
- Very far for any normal finger (and this is an EVEN bigger phone and sensor MORE pushed to the right than S8, because of dual cameras).
- Differentiates left and right hand operation more.
- Looks stupid.
What is wrong with a nice round sensor, centralized and bit to the top, like Chinese do successfully for years? With extra features too (detecting "scrolling" and other gestures etc.)...
And since we talk about the back.
- Placement of the extra sensors (heart rate etc.) is also bad. Everything should be further from the camera(s).
- I would trade those sensors (that every smart-band and smart-watch has and MAKES sense to have) for a simple IR blaster and/or return of FM radio.
- When are they going to add more/better flash/LED? Almost everybody has dual-tone and even 950XL triple-tone LEDs were awesome.

Looking good. Really wish the finger print scanner was under the screen but I guess this will do. I never use my phone one handed anyway so that position doesn't bother me. Definitely not preordering this time round after last year. I'll wait 1~2 months :P.
