Most of the user still love to operate smartphone with one hand even it is a 6 inch display. But the fingerprint scanner is totally a wrong place, Samsung should dismiss it or just relocate it otherwise the user could operate the phone until finger get cramp.

Thus Asians always operate their phablet with both hands therefore the fingerprint scanner location is perfectly placed for the hand holding the phablet while the other hand operate the touchscreen.. You feel that the fingerprint scanner location is awkward because you try to operate the phablet with one hand - your thumb goes over the touchscreen causing your fingers to be out of reach for the scanner

So Samsung still thinks that the location of fingerprint scanner that far up on a phablet makes sense....
I didn't know Korean Samsung engineers have huge hands with long fingers.

Love my Pixel. Still the smoothest Android I have ever used. I don't really care too much about these 2017 flagships. The 5 from 2016 (G5, V20, Pixel, iPhone SE, S7 edge) is good enough for me.
Nomore plans getting another laggy, glass-reared, curved screen Samsung again. Note8 looks decent enough but its the software experience and typing that annoys me the most.

I have used all the note series phone except 1 and 7 .. i would say the design is ok ... not so beautiful .. and one thing to notice about it is that the back is not glossy and beautiful like on the s8 and s8 plus . It is kinda matte look.. hoped that they would have followed same back design gloss look espically for midnight black variant as s8 plus.. i would say this year i will stick with my s8 plus.. coz anyways next year samsung is already going to implement under screen fingerprint sensor .. so there will be design changes though.

or are you reffering to hmd nokia which probably is going to be released after note 8 even thought was announced december/january basicly every two weeks they postponed the launch with a month delay
so yeah buy that next year when its available :)
