I have the Mi Mix 1. The phone is very good for browsing. The battery can very easily last 1.5 days. Other than that most of useful Android apps do not work probably or work at all! It is due to heavy customization of miui. Notifications are struggle to get as you need to do a lot of settings in order to have all-time notification on your phone, and many notifications do not work at all! So you get only 40 to 50 % of Android power. The miui has some extra options which I do not find it useful at all. Ram management is one the worse compare to other Android phones. Despite having 6 GB Ram after a couple of hours you sit with less than 1 GB Ram unless you remove all your notifications! Since I need to have notification on important apps (not all the apps) which is not more than 14 apps, the phone needed to he rebooted at least 2 to 3 times a day! The sound qualify is very bad unless you see head phone or Bluetooth devices. The camera just forget it, the quality is not even close to $200 phones in the market! Simple features such as sorting your photos or folders are not available. No multitasking. So the only benefit of the phone is the form factor (6.2") and beautiful design. For day to day use I would say not a reliable phone. For show off I would day yes. Otherwise I stick with Google Pixel, Sony, Samsung or HTC. These phones are really powfull phones either for business or entertainment.

a more slender mi mix 2 i hope.. the original mi mix is too wide esp for asians who have a smaller hands..

The only occasion where you may not be in luck is if it falls flat upon a small rock or something or some kind of corner. But given the aerodynamics of this phone ... Never happened to me once yet (despite the multiple falls).

in india , as you know , they are frightened to launch their high end devices eg last year mi5,failed miserably, they are happy & make us happy by just releasing their budget -entry level devices( redmis , notes ..)

I have heard thinks that cheap price and cheap mobile and after 1 year phone will not work properly.I am not going to buy it & i have use it because i am in company.

I own a Xiaomi Mi MIX... it doesn't have a bad camera, but no optical stabilization. That's why one has to have a very steady pulse or shoot several times to get a great picture. But it does take good pictures. On good light that is. No stabilization also affects low light photos.
Incredible to build a nearly perfect smartphone with this issue. If the Mi MIX II addresses this issue, I will definitely buy it.

If Xiaomi want to beat Samsung and the like they need to work on every aspect.
I had the Mi Mix 1 and its camera was wors than my 3 year old GN.
Camera performance and no AMOLED were the 2 main reasons i sold it.

They have to do something about the camera. For $700+ your camera has to be excellent. It should not even be a thought. It does not have to be the best but there are $200 phones with better cameras. The mix is the only Xiaomi I have owned and I know the lower end Xiaomi's have better cameras or this company would not have lasted. I should not have to grab my Galaxy alpha every time I need to take a decent pic. More US LTE bands could not hurt either and personally, I would rather a slightly smaller phone but I'm not expecting that to happen. Fix the camera.

Earlier it was rumored that the Mi Mix 2 could come with Snapdragon 660 Processor. But if this rumor is true, then I guess Snapdragon 660 is being considered for Redmi Note 5.. Yay.
