Waiting for the Note. They are always better than their S counterparts. And I love the pen and usually bigger screen.

a huge comeback after the note 7 fiasco.. i would say... and unlike apple, 60% of the buyers wait for the pricing to comedown.. every year me and my friends, wait atleast 7-8 month after the flagship launch.. the price drops by atleast 150$

If Ur Getting Awesome Smart Phones Under 200 Dollar Like Redmi Note 4, Lenovo P2, Lenovo K6 Power, K6 Note, K5 Note, Honor 6X, Nokia 6 Etc Then Big Brands Like Samsung & Apple Will Feel The Heat :)

sales reports are confusin? So when they say that sales will grow fast everything is Ok but when the same organziations say that sales will go down they are confusing? Marketing idiots work in samsung....

The news will likely result in discount opportunities for consumers through various retailers in stores and online.

Samsung and the rest are just trying to copy Apples trend, thinking any thing they make people will buy there phones, but every year phone prices get higher and higher, and some people do not buy sim free phones all the time, and with contracts over 24 month, its not so easy to switch phones all the time, the S8 plus is a super phone but not everyone can afford to buy this phone

bobby21, 11 Jul 2017Well a few points messed this device up. Fingerprint scanne... moreIf you owned an S8 you'd realise that the scanner placement is a non issue. It's fine. Especially in the smaller S8.

The lack of a flat screen version is the reason for this.

I don't know what security analyst has to do with phone sales?

Ultimately phone sales are related to some phone launches,Others are due to when individuals phone contracts are due for upgrade, From what I have seen and heard a lot of people are well impressed with the S8/8+ even Apples new handsets are probably going to look the same as them.

The only reason I didn't get an S8 is because I'm a Note user and I expected after the Note 7 fail for the S8 to lure me back, Aesthetically there's no better looking phone at the moment! The sad thing is In the UK that Samsung keep discriminating outside of Asian markets by releasing different more powerful RAM versions of the same phone. Note 5 never released in Europe officially, Note 7 6gb ram version for China and the same with S8.

When Samsung stops discriminating us maybe I will buy there phones.

One Plus lol! do me a favour, great specs especially with the cheat mode but atrocious build quality and customer service!!

Just because you put a Ferrari engine in a Skoda doesn't make it a Ferrari!

The S8 will sell more as they become cheaper and year 2 contracts expire.

Hell, I can't even wait for the S7 price to drop under 350, which might be impossible. Might as well be content with my J7 (2016) for now.

Well a few points messed this device up. Fingerprint scanner placement, bixby, bixby button, no scanner underneath the display.

The competition in android space is tougher than ever before.. i see more mid segments and flagship killers selling. Also the more premium phone will definately cost more. Also Samsung's brand value doesn't hold the cult apple has(remember apple has no mid range phones..).. though am quintessentially a Samsung fanboy.

DNeighbor, 11 Jul 2017Most now are waiting for the Note8, or the latest iPhones. ... moreNot at the begining at least, if the rumors are true both the Note 8 and Iphone 8 will cost around 1000$, so priced a little higher than the current S8/S8 plus.

s7 edge user here. I don't see a reason to upgrade to an s8 unlike when the s7e came out and I had the s6- that was really an upgrade. Aside from having less bezel, the s8 doesnt really have a stand out feature.

Perhaps, Samsung has not really done anything concrete? or massive? to really put out the exploding note/battery issue? that's why people are still apprehensive?

Or they are waiting for the note 8?

It is quite normal and so predictable and so acceptable that sales are starting gradually slowing down. Although okay there is still those 2 million gap, between the S8,s and S7's, and Samsung definitely won't like that. They want absolutely sell more and not less, but let's wait and see what it will happen. Regarding the Note 8, yes it is the norm for Samsung and not an exception. And thankfully, because it will be definitely better to don't rush things up like they did with the Note 7 and finally it was an absolute flop. So in other words, it is much better that Samsung takes all the appropriate time they need, but then finally they will launch the Note 8 completely safe, software polished, etc.
