LG Optimus 2X scores a Guinness record as the first dual-core phone

LG Optimus 2X indeed is the world’s first dual-core smartphone (both announced and released). This achievement was acknowledged by the Guinness World Records – the Optimus 2X is the first dual-core phone available to the public.

Yeah...SURELY we will buy from competition (NOT) ! Just because it has the LATEST software (am talkin about competition)...it doesn't mean that we will abandon the lil gadget(optimus) ! I buy a phone for what it can do ! I bought an N8, ignoring the fact that it has the lame symbian... But the camera is amazing , the Usb On The Go is the best feature of them all, everything works!... the HDMI is really useful, FM transmitter is a wonder, Divx Xvid playback, Bluetooth 3.0, 16 GB of internal memory + 32 from Micro SD. GREAT AMOLED display, elegant construction and feeling... I'm satisfied. I don't give a damn about the Symbian. The next phone that's gonna KINDA have the same specs is gonna be the Galaxy S2... Well I can't wait THAT long for it...and surely it's going to have a HUGE price (it's not launched yet here where I am). I bought This baby for like... 290 Euros. Sure, most of you are going to say that with that money I could have bought an HTC, or an iPhone. SURE, but I hate the iGadgets with all my guts and HTC isn't what I'm looking for in features! Sorry. And I could have bought an Xperia (I'm a huge SONY fan), but I wanted the features I mentioned above.
Well I'm stuck with the N8 now and I'm happy about it. I'm not an APP maniac... I'm just a Multi Media consumer. :)

So...if the Optimus meets your demands, buy it ! Don't think about the Gingerbread... just buy what you NEED ! If this suits you, go for it.

    Ok, I checked the specs page, Nokia N95 is listed as a dual-core smartphone. Why was it not considered? (Registered with my facebook account just to post this, my previous unregistered post is taking ages to appear).

    Update- Silly me! N95's not really dual-core. It just has a 330mhz CPU along with another DSP. It says "dual CPU" not "dual core".

              who gives about world records. Lg should care more about their sales rather than winning things. Also they should care about updating as well.
