Nokia E6 and X7 go on pre-order in Germany, seem pricey

14 May, 2011
When announced a month ago, the Nokia duo E6 and X7 caused a good deal of excitement. Packing the latest Symbian update, called Anna, the two smartphones proved that the OS is not yet ready to head into...

it is not for us to decide of symbian is a dying platform and i do now believe it is on its way to the grave..symbian is still a lot better compared to other OS out there it terms of functionality & offers more feature that other platform that are just starting to learn it....but the price for this two device is just high...way too high for what it has too offer..

$600 for these? Nokia is crazy! I wonder how much their profit margin on these phones. Not even a Nokia fanboy like myself can defend this rediculous price. Nokia really lost it.

Yet Another Android, 15 May 2011I'll wait for the N9. Meego will be awesome!!I doubt that! It will be a device with a unique operating system, so, don't expect anything major for it (such as cool apps, great support or 3rd party developers jumping on board). In my opinion, you would buy into a dead end, regardless how cool the device would be.

This E6 seems a really awesome device, but at this price it's just not a good deal. If it was cheaper would probably be a bestseller.
And the X7 is just nonsense.

AnonD-6853, 15 May 2011I think you never owned a high end android.I am saying so b... moreObviously I never owned. But I played enough with them, so I can make my opinion, quite the opposite of most of trolls here.
As I said, I agree that these phones are extremely expensive and I wouldn't spend my money with them. Flash on phones only work properly if it's a Youtube video or something, try to play a game that needs a keyboard, or any Flash content that needs right mouse click or something like that, there might be a solution for everyting I said, but it's a broken experience nevertheless. Flash is not made for phones and only it is only useful to drain the phone battery faster, if the Android OS itself wasn't enough for the task.
Flash lite does the job on most situations when you really need flash content (again, playing YT videos direct on the web page), and doesn't destroy your battery as much as full Flash support.
Yeah, Galaxy S browser is a lot better than N8 browser, but it's not for the full Flash support, it's because it's faster and easier to use, iOS browser is also a lot better than N8 browser, and doesn't even have Flash support.

Also, I think that Flash on phones is very useless as they only drain the phone resources and battery fast, Flash is made for desktop and not phones, playing with most Flash content on phones is a mixed bag since they are made for you to use with a Mouse and a Keyboard, it's only usefull to watch some Youtube videos direct on the web page, and Flash lite is enough for that.
Don't agree with me? Go love your Android then.
Also, Flash lite demands LESS resource and there's no laggy when I'm browsing a page with Flash content, since all Flash content is paused when you are scrolling, you obviously don't know anything.

These phones will probably have longer support than most of you beloved droids that are simply discard as soon as another flagship phone is launched.
