AnonD-688816, 01 Aug 2017This is problem can be correct through the setting. But you... moreYou clearly never had this issue, cause you're talking out of your behind.
One of my friends came to me, complaining that their Galaxy Alpha has a heavy pink tint, so, being an android developer, i've picked up and tried fixing it. No amount of tinkering helped. No setting would properly control it, as the pink level would change with the brightness of the screen. The problem was clearly at the hardware level, because even after a full wipe the issue didn't go away. So i gave the phone back in that half-way screwed up state. Then one day my friend powered it on and the issue went away.
What i'm suspecting actually happened it that the flat screen cable had connection issues, and lost either green or blue signal, or maybe the screen controller had soldering issues. Kind of like what HTC One M7 had with the camera in low light, or like LG G and V series have had with the bootloop issue.
This is the level of pink tint we're talking about here:

I wish it was flatter and not so tall. The design looks pretty cool though I must admit.

i will wait for the official announcement before casting judgement and getting confirmed specs, the listed specs are SD835 or Exynos 8895 and 4gb ram? isn't that the same as the galaxy s8 models, it will come with a possible 0.2" screen increase? s-pen and dual camera setup possibly? this isn't enough to steer me from my current s8+, i guess it is a step up from note 7 though....

.alpha, 01 Aug 2017After seeing the new iPhone and V30 design, Note 8 looks oldWhile V30 Seems to standout with the Design as the G6 , the iPhone 8 is just a copy of G6 and Essential PH1. Dual cameras --> they just rotated it 90 degrees 😂

No point in getting a Note 8. You pay $200 more for 0.1" increase in screen size and that's it. Same battery and same SoC

I much prefer the horizontal dual lens as seen from LG and Huawei. Samsung Pay and 3x optical zoom are the only reasons I would get the Note8.
Since living in the United States again and trying out different network and phones in a span of a few months, I made the decision to stick to one network and one phone brand, Verizon and Pixel. Knowing Verizon, I expect their bootup animation and bloatware to be there on the Note8. With Pixel, it's unlocked like the rest of their 4G phone and untouched by the carrier like an iPhone would on any US network.
I know people hate the overpricing, ugly design, and lack of features of the Pixels. I get it. Well, I don't like the ugly, laggy skin and lame curved displays either on Samsung. Add the carrier bloat. Add the waiting for the software update. The Pixel is still the fastest and smoothest UI experience I ever experienced on ANY phone which includes iPhones. Since iOS lacks options like 0.5x animations or FAST animation on Nova Launcher, I can't make it feel any faster.
The only thing I can't tolerate with Pixel is the camera is overrated because its dynamic range is poor and it lacks microSD slot. But I use my LG phones as the media players and camera for its wide angle lens anyway, so no big deal. And Pixel can't connect to my MacBook but works fine on Windows. I believe Note8 will be a better phone than the S8/S8+ but Pixel upgrades on Verizon will be my lifetime choice. Many people upgrade to the latest iPhone every couple years and no complaints. That will be the same for me with Google Pixels on Verizon.
Verizon = best US network (albeit expensive)
Pixel = pure Android, no carrier nonsense
Google > Apple, Samsung

Pixels also have unlimited cloud storage for photos and personal video recordings. I can record as video on the Pixel without needing to delete them. Once backed up, I can still access them
Only Samsung is better with hardware mainly for the superior camera although I prefer my LG phones more. And Samsung offers water-resistant, nicer design, and microSD slot. But when it comes to Android, I consider anything that isn't done by Google to be FAKE Android.
Google Pixel = Real Android
Samsung Galaxy = Fake Android
Samsung is more PC in hardware but acts less like Android in real life. An imposter. An Android poseur. It's like buying an Amazon Fire and believing its Android when all it really is a device that pushes Amazon ads to you. You can see it in mobile games too. They aren't games anymore. Just ads after ads.
Samsung and other network carriers uses Android to promote whatever ecosystem and halo effect they want to shove down our throats. I predict in five years time, Pixel will become the most popular Android phones [IN THE USA] once everyone is fed up with all the Samsung, Chinese OEM/spies, and carrier branding and brainwashing.

When you give reviews on the product and you must give the honest review, states about the product can and cannot do, or describe the useful information. Please don't mention about your boring life, people can learn new information from each other.
People references, as such color - dislike, shape -dislike, and so forth. My opinion weren't suppose to be in this kind of review.
New innovations are great. If it made you upset or disturbed your life then don't buy it.
Cheer,
