Never a Sony mobile phone again!!!
If you are amazed about call application not working, on-screen keyboard missing thus not being able to unlock the phone, contacts just disappearing, and the smallest of the issues headphone jack not working, then welcome to Sony world!
Oh, I forgot to mention 90% of the support guidelines are just rubbish.

Since the update my earphones are not being detected. I downloaded soundabout and it solved the problem, however it is annoying to have to change settings everytime i plug and unplug the earphones. Any possibility of having this issue resolved without the need of resorting on other apps please

Shuts down when i go to quick,my major problem is when i download problem solvers with u tube or google it gets wiped,shame on you sony admit it and fix it ,remember CANON!!!

I have no idea if it had anything to do with the update to Android 7.1.1, but my Xperia Z5 bricked right after it was done. No lights at all, will not turn on all all. What a complete disappointment. Wasn't a bad phone, but they I have to question their build quality.

Apart from being u... moreYes. I'm going to be very down after my 3.5mm audio jack being 'deaf' and unable to detect any new earphones nor headphones after the update.
Master reset, repair the software, clearing cache of Smart Connect doesn't helping, installed soundabout software from Google Play Store making my phone as if it is cripple and now ae if it will need to use armchair.
Sony seemed to be unable to resolve this 2 years problem, now is already 2017. I almost buying Sony Xperia XZ Premium but set a back by this terrifying experience with Nougat 7.0 updates. Even the latest Nougat 7.1.1 can't fix this problem.
I'm now eyeing other OEM phones in case that my phone will be celebrating its 2 years anniversary while still being 'deaf'. Sony 'hospital' is useless.

Sony reduced the unit shipments in the last 2 years and that's why LG is higher

I paid for this phone and Sony did promised of supporting this phone for 2 years thus it's totally their problem of launching the X series of replacing the Z's. So don't bring their setbacks to users!

Sony cant use 2900 mAh for 5.2 FHD but Apple can use 2900 for 5.5" FHD and Motorola 2600 for 5.5" QHD.
Also Samsung 3000mAh for 5.8"

i am facing issues in gallery. unable to delete the pictures and videos from phone. also, when put on speakers mode while calling, no voice from loudspeakers.

In June there were odd updates that used 1.2g of my data. Then phone so so slow. Lagging.i rang customer service who actually were quite gif but I had to reinstall factory settings. Better but not as good as it was 3 months ago. It's a shame as I really like phone. Size. Camera. Both good.

Wiping the Cache Partition:
In case your handset is not working correctly and you're considering master resetting, then you might want to try and wipe the cache partition before doing so. Wiping the cache partition will not remove personal data stored on your handset's internal memory.
While the device is powered on, press and hold the "Volume Up" and "Power" keys
Wait for the display to shut down and for your handset to vibrate once
Release the keys once that happened, then press the "Power" key to turn on your device

My Xperia Z5 Dual has ringing problem for past 1 month. The ringer automatically turned off and no call ringer sound generate.
It happens randomly every after around 2 days.

Apart from being unable to use headphone, the dedicated "back, home & multi-tasking" most of the time mulfunctioned when I using the phone (Youtube, gaming, etc.) . (Need to lock and unlock the screen to temporary solve this issue). But then it repeated after few minutes. SC asked me to reboot the software but the issue still exist.
Another issue to raise here is that when making a call and put the phone near our ear, its screen will turn black (normal). But what happened is sometimes when I remove the phone from my ear to cancel the call, the screen just won't turn on no matter how many times i lock & unlock my phone.
No voice during voice call was also one of the issue I've been facing after the Nougat update.

7.1.1 is just a plain absurb software, and that is Google's own fault and not Sony's.
And the features you're asking from them can be found in the Play Store, so why still bother for having it a built-in feature?
