AnonD-510098, 01 Aug 2017Lol, theyve had many problems over the years, your too blin... moreSo I am blind for researching every single problem that Sony has had with regards to software? Nice try Mr. Eagle-Eyed Tech Enthusiast. I have used both softwares and I know what I'm saying.
One thing that they have that others don't is.......
Meh, Google is your friend. Let's just say that a 3-layer stacked CMOS sensor is just way too good that every competitors want it so bad.
The only weak one here is the one that literally doesn't understand one's statement and kept on being a troll - it's you. You deserve my Nickname after all.

Ashok, 01 Aug 2017Sony is deteriorating. Especially with their worst customer... moreSony's after-sales services are literally non-existent in my country, just like OnePlus and Xiaomi, for example.

TheOneSilveriusXZ, 01 Aug 2017Yes , i agree with you . Despite some flaws in the software... morePlease stop misleading buddy! So tell me what is the dissimilarity after Z3+ and Z5 family being updated to 7.1.1 subsequently? Other than having a newer security patch, what are the new features were given to us? Speaking about comparison between Z5 series (Xperia) and Sammy's Note 5 (considerably both of these devices were launched at the same time) SONY should better reflect themselves on the mirror instead. Sammy might little late with updates but tons of new features they've provided are totally highly appealing. Yea I had almost forgotten to mention... 7.1.1. instead of having a supposed new features for Z3+ and Z5, yet they minus something important in matter of fact. The Night Mode and the Launch Actions shortcut. It's a complete rubbish update if you ask me.

7.1.1 for Xperias is a total crab! Other than having zero new features, its lacked of Night Mode and the Launch Actions shortcut (similar to force touch). Apparently it is worse than a pure stock android from Google and it is not practical at all! I shall stop supporting this company!

Sony is deteriorating. Especially with their worst customer service. Really pathetic service. Just so that all you fan boys who love Sony like me....should be informed about their customer service... Yes we need to accept that they have amazing products and beautiful designs. But, God forbid anything go wrong in your product and Sony takes you for a ride. The worst ever customer service ever witnessed by me till date. Had a really tough time negotiating and losing a battle with these people on a problematic Sony xperia xz. They were not even ready to accept that their product had an issue. Chickens!
If you are sure you will never visit a service center then only go ahead and buy their products. Worst customer service buy an international company. They should learn customer service from other gaints in the industry.
Watch out guys!

After upgraded my Z5 Premium into Nougat 7.0, my headphone/earphone jack can't detect any earphones nor headphones.
Some of so-called Sony experts blame us by stating that it is not because of software but because of its hardware (3.5 mm earphone jack) has been damaged.
This thing make it hard to get another Sony phone to replace my current phone. More than 3 years ago, this problem has been heatedly discussed and debated but there is still no answers from Sony.
Factory reset won't help, Safe mode also don't help. I hope I could roll back to Marshmallow and get Nougat when it is really stable.

DamijanD, 01 Aug 2017Z5 compact: I and my friend (also z5 compact but white :-) ... moreTypical symptom of the bloatwares running in the background. You should disable all bloatwares. Those are the apps that comes with your phone pre-installed, mostly you can't uninstall them but you can disable them in the application manager. Disable the bloatwares that you don't need.

TheHater, 01 Aug 2017This is just one simple and fixable problem with a software... moreYes , i agree with you . Despite some flaws in the software occured sometimes , Sony is only one of few companies that bring great updates and software within , even they updated their devices to Nougat much faster than it was back in Marshmallow compared to Samsung (all Sony devices has been updated [XA , XZ to Z3+] , meanwhile Samsung devices hasn't) . Their phones rarely got a big issues such as exploded devices (only one ever made top-stories and mostly because the user itself) .
Their phones design also unique and iconic (incl. Loop Design based OmniBalance) . Maybe , it's look outdated with those bezels that actually bigger than Samsung . But , their phones remains great to this dates and considered the most reliabe quality build phones till date .

AnonD-510098, 01 Aug 2017Sony is terrible with updates... cant even put out an updat... moreThis is just one simple and fixable problem with a software update and now you're saying that they have many problems with software. Sure they do, and for the 5 years of being in the smartphone business, the number of software issues that occured with their phones are probably less than software issues that say Samsung has had for 1 year.
And if you judge a phone by the way it looks, I am highly disappointed to know that you're actually using a technological device to type your comment.
Dafq are you gonna do with a beautiful design? Or with those thin bezels? Are you joining a smartphone beauty pageant for that?
Sure beauty of a phone can be a factor when buying a new one, but it's not the overall rounder up.
In fact, design is the least important part of a device.
Others may look beautiful, but they have the technology of 2007.
Sony has the look of 2007 along with the technology of 21st Century, so it's up to you to decide.

Sony is terrible with updates... cant even put out an update without problems.
Their recent so called 'flagships' are terrible too. They look like they come straight from 2007 and have the smallest batteries ever lol. No wonder theyre failing...
