Security is a relative term in digital communications, as German researchers discovered after putting Google’s Android OS through some testing. Reportedly, 99.7% of all droids could be broadcast...

That's why we say Android isn't mature enough even though it's fast and has eyecandy. Other operating systems may have similar problems but not as big as this surely!!! Unacceptable given the price you pay for an Android phone! :(

This article is FUD. It's either from Facebook's admitted smear campaign or Apple's.

The exact same things said here are so general that they apply to any operating system, starting with Windows 7 and ending with iOS.

      Speaking of iOS security: http://theiphonefever.blogspot.com/search/label/Security

And btw, what this article says can be compared to:
-french fries are the only unhealthy food because they are cooked in oil
-mercedes is the most unfriendly company to the environment because their cars run on gas.

      FUD WTF!

I see Android fans are dismissing this news already.

As a Symbian and iOs user, I laugh at Android fanboys, as they seem to be in their own little bubble, viewing the world as distorted where iphone owners are mindless drones and Steve Jobs as the devil, little realising how Google is chipping away at their privacy, just like every other company XD

As my old man used to say....

            The truth hurts..

No matter what OS you use ALL have security holes, but they don't want to tell....

And besides, this is not good or bad either. Companies only want to sell, they don't care about your protection or security, they only cares numbers and big bucks on their pants...

I think anyone who doesn't know there is risks connecting to an unsecured network regardless of their activity, should not be operating a Smart Phone. Perhaps instead given a rubberised basic phone and inflatable arm bands just in case they drown in their own stupidity!

security loop-holes are everywhere, the impenetrable sony PSN, easy is a subjective term hence should be avoided! The iOSes are jailbroken the day they are released, secure? Each user is tracked with the log easily accessible to targeting hackers! Breaches are there thats in designing of source code! but stern precautions are needed!

it clearly says data can be stolen over an insecure wifi connection...that means it can happen with any thing, be it ios, symbian, or a laptop/computer...this is bullocking man...only Crapple fans would love this

Well thats a good thing that I'm running Android 2.3.4! ;P

That's why I only buy Nexus phones... They actually do get the updates. This is also why I hate those stupid skins over android like Sense, TouchWiz, etc. They are just slowing down the updates for everyone that own those phones.

Latest news: Insecure Wifi is insecure.

Also, to the guy nattering on about symbian and other mobile OS's, yes, they do have similar problems. They all do.

There is no such problems with iOS and Symbian.

It goes to show that the most popular OS isn't necessarily the best. Farming out a free OS that everyone uses has its disadvantages.
