That is closer to 25% than 30% - and we have no guarantee that the the number 1.6 is sharp, it could be say 1.61 rounded down. (or even 1.649...). F1.61 gives 25.00% over F1.8.

The part
"the rear camera module on the upcoming phone is 30% smaller in size compared its predecessor"
seems worrying. If this means a 30% less sensor size, they throw more away than the 27% gained by the larger aperture

- The V30 will have 2.5D glass and no curved screen
- I don't understand why people need IR blaster
- Removable battery is history
- To protect the glass body, use a decent cover

Of course they don't talk about that like the G6, V30 might have a smaller camera sensor (1/3") than V20 and older LG phones (1/2.6").
In fact, LG V30 is much worse than V20. The advantages of V20:
- removable battery
- FM Radio
- IR blaster
- flat screen
- not glass body
- i'm not sure about camera, despite it has bigger sensor size (same size as G5's), it (V20 and G6) has worse camera than G5
Disadvantages of V20:
- fragile camera glass (ALL V20 units are prone to crack)
- bad camera lens quality (it's worse than G5's lens, because V20's photos are blurry at the edges and corners)

Anyone should appreciate what LG is doing with their camera, people need to rise above their petty fanboy-ism. Personally i like high end galaxies more but i'm not going to hate on something just because LG has done it. Instead i hope for a good competition that will in turn raise the camera quality even more.
