Having said all that...
Now that I've updated Kies - it's now doing a newer firmware update!
Crikey!
That's about 5 I've had for this phone...
This is a looong way away from my HTC Hero a year or so ago - ZERO updates...
:)
That's why I'm so wary of going back to HTC - Sense is great but a) it's a little boring and b) it really prevents firmware updates...

Really odd...
I updated mine in March(ish) time...
And it was fine - straight through Kies, it told me a new firmware update was available - downloaded it, Bob's your uncle!
Surprised there's been a delay with this...
As can't see what the problem must have been...
(I'm just updating Kies now to see if there's another update!)
Got to give Sammy their due, they've really supported the GS1 - time to give SonyE a chance with an Xperia Play for a year...
Let's see how they get on!

ok there are different types of samsung galaxy s,
such the i909 which only sold in China, will that type receive the update aswell~? anyone can clarify ?

We three friends have the phones on different networks, my friend on t-mobile got the upgrade while me on O2 network and other friend on Three network are still waiting for the os 2.3 upgrade.
