I now also have S2 and like it a lot.

I have the SGS for a couple of months with built in 2.2 froyo and wanted to know with the gingerbread update if there was any differance with the apps ( and what kind ) Thanks in advance

Now this is a good news, I believe samsung has te gutz to personalize and revive theri i9000 to ll, no need to hurry in buy an SG2, i9000 has a plenty of juice.
:D I will thing in buy one of these preowned, maybe will be a good investment

Samsung has been doing a very freaking job to pissed all Bada 1.0 user !!
where is our Malaysian' Bada 1.2 or 2.0 for Wave S8500 ?!?!

That doesn't make the handset a good choice, not being able to update the firmware to the latest version leaves you behind in the world of technology. Whats the point of having a smart phone if the updates that come through you dont choose to update too, you'll surely be missing out on new advances on firmware, for example game updates, smoothness in operations etc....Get a Nokia 3310 if you dont want any updates.

Samsung will going to finish updating the Galaxy S on Gingerbread..probably around Q1 of 2012. When Galaxy S3 is already released. Lol

every day i check for update for my ORANGE i9000 but still is said "this version of device cannot be updated"

I'll believe it when I see it.
Pain in my bum plugging my phone in every day looking the the update only to be told I have the latest Firmware already installed (FROYO)

cant wait for this update,how may times they promise for update but until now no new update for my ORANGE I9000.tired already :(
