Ok this is official now. I will never buy this phone. It has same buggy camera location as in Dell XPS 13 and 15. When you talk with somebody he will look into your nose instead your eyes...

AnonD-594740, 19 Aug 2017Yes, its not about who did it first but you just prove my p... moreThe point here is who did it first and who copied whom and according to official data it was Samsung and lg who copied
People here say Xiaomi copied Samsung but the truth is Samsung copied what Xiaomi invented
Also it does not matter if it sells well or not or which country it releases in or where its sold simple fact of matter is that these days people easily import phones from China its not a big deal anymore just go to any website and they ship the mobile worldwide this also increases the demographic
In this generation of print media and social media Mi mix was the first phone to make bezless mainstream as it was talked about a lot in media and it gave an idea to people what bezelless is even if they don't own the phone they saw it in media which created a craze and companies like lg and Samsung thought that this is the next big market trend and they followed what's good for business by copying it as simple as that
These days media can make things mainstream you don't need to own the device or use the device or a company doesnt need to sell the device for it to become mainstream
Essential phone is not a mainstream device essential as a company is not mainstream still the media attention has raised around 300million dollars for them in funds and the company is now valued at 1billion with out even the phones release
Curved Back
Xiaomi Mi Note - Released 2015, January
Samsung Galaxy Note5 - Released 2015, August
Bezeless Screen
Sharp Aquos Crystal - Released 2014, August
Xiaomi Mi Mix - Released 2016, November
Samsung Galaxy S8 - Released 2017, April
Quite clear who copies whom and who takes all the credit.

Originally I thought Xiaomi was copying the Galaxy S8 marketing a little too closely. But now I'm thinking they are mocking Samsung, or just showing that their display has more "infinity". Though a true infinity display would have zero borders right? Haha.
I'll say again, I wish it looked more boxy like the original. And a 16:9 aspect ratio would be easier use. It's too tall, like the S8 and S8+.

AnonD-594740, 19 Aug 2017Yes, its not about who did it first but you just prove my p... moreThey didn't sell a whole lot because it was pretty expensive. They don't have habit of ripping the customers. Even mi mix coated less than 600$ Sam people did same thing and said yay we did it and charged 750 for phone with lesser battery than mi mix had.
2 sharp did it first afaik
3 don't worry the I guys will steal the credit from everyone too

MiMix is not mainstream because it is hard to manufacture. Xiaomi should use the whole display concept on their flagship products as a affordable option to Galaxy 8/8+, Essential, iPhone 8..

Why they dont just use the frame of the botton on the top? and put a very thin speaker like Essential Phone did? it will be better position for the speaker and also for the camera, i dont understand why dont put the botton frame on top :/

AnonD-594740, 19 Aug 20171- wow, thats as stupid as "rounded icons". I mean, debatin... moreIt is not about who had it first you d###A## read the comment to which I replied first it was all about people telling that Xiaomi copies other brands and Xiaomi copied from samsung where as that is not the case and its vice versa that was my point
And Fyki don't compare apple to Xiaomi your senseless Xiaomi sold 100000 units just with few emerging markers in Asia and you are comparing sales with apple that sells all around the world and is more of a status symbol for which people are ready to spend insane amounts of money your lack of knowledge is laughable at least compare the market and area served before comparing two devices if you had compared a Samsung s8 and iPhone I would have agreed to your point because both sell globally but comparing Xiaomi with apple when Xiaomi sells only in 4-5 Asian counties is utter rubbish
Moreover Mi mix was sold only in China so 100,000 units is quite a good no
The comparison was between Samsung and Xiaomi as to who copied whom and who was first to introduce the feature why are you brining apple and other brands into the picture
Doesn't make sense at all

2- You have a pretty low bar for "mainstream". In what world 100,000 units sales by january 2017 is mainstream? I think that the original iPhone sold more than that!
