There are no logo or branding at all on the phone itself. No camera protruding at the back. Completely seamless design. That is what people want. Maybe one day all smartphone will reach a point where they all look similar and indistinguishable from each other. Singularity.

Very beautiful and impressive design. If this is what Xiaomi capable at in 2017, just imagine what smartphone looks like in 2018. Completely bezel less is the true goals. Hope Xiaomi will be successful with this new Mi Mix 2. Btw, all the gsmarena newbies here; stop arguing about who copying who, please. I feel like an old grandpa seeing my grandkids doing the same thing I did when I was young and new here. History indeed repeat itself. One day you will realize how immature it is. 10 years later you will see new people arguing the same thing all over again and again and again.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn! Is it what we call design now? Isn't it just a bland and boring cut out that look alike one another with the upcoming phones? People please stop saying it copy-paste design! After all it is you who force companies to lose their character and practicality in designing a phone!
You're forcing companies to
-Have cancer thin smarphone packing tiny battery
-RESULTED a camera hump and uniformity, yet you say hump is ugly!
-Then company erase the hump for smaller sensor
-Force them using metal body while being afraid of scratch and force the use of glass instead yet it's too fragile!!
- For Hiding the fragiles, you use a screen protector and a rubber case and in the end you are using rubber case that hide your phone! So why are you, people fighting against one's preference because in the end all you want is rubber made smartphone????
-Force them to design more fragiles called bezelless that actually has been foreshadowed since early Nokia glory days but a company didn't even bother to make one because other than design there is nothing to talk about and the tech wasn't ready, nor even today.
But on the bright side you force companies to
-Have new tiny battery tech that last you longer though bigger battery that lasts longer is better
-Have more power efficient chipset
-Have more advanced image processing software
-Have on Screen Bionic Scanner (not yet)
-Have screen-underneath front camera (not yet)
-Have Thougher glass that match the future bezelless
-Have Higher res screen that match the growing size screen
-Have IP and MIL-STD
-Have More Advanced MoDem that erasing the plastic antenna line use
Have on screen speaker like bravia(?)
All in all, I accept the changea but in the same time I don't like to be "a rabbit tester" for immature technology no matter who copy who cause actually u don't even care the perfectly same clothing design by different brands yet for a phone you do? But still not do I like characterless design.

People here are way too concerned with originality of design around here, as if it were some kind of moral responsibility (it isn't). Phones are just another set of handheld tools - like hammers, swiss army knives, and frying pans. Nobody complains about those looking the same.
But if you really care, patents exist to make sure they don't look exactly the same.

Anonymous, 18 Aug 2017Another GS8/GS8p photogenically... Stop this kind of copiesFunny man. The bezeless design was started by Sharp , continued by Xiaomi and *copied* by Samsung (who came later in the game).
On top of that Sharp and Xiaomi actually know how to design bezeless... Samsung's offerings are too tall and ugly.
So not a copy and even if it looked like one it would have been the other way 'round (Samsung doing the copying).

Hopefully the screen is a bit smaller than the original Mi Mix. A 5.5"-5.7" screen would be perfect for this bezel size.
