With just $100 dollars difference and the vast gap between the storage, you are psychologically forced to decide the middle one. So that their average price range will always be based on the mid-tier model.

If the base storage is 128Gb, I don't really need a micro SD card. 64gb is okay but it think it will fill up faster because of 4k videos and other stuff. Having a large internal storage without SD card is better, because it is faster and safer. The new 512gb is a great option

So that would make it Samsung Note 8 with 64 GB vs iPhone 8 with 512 GB.
I would have preferred to get the Note 8 except for this particular comparison. It's a clincher, period. (I wish Samsung was aware because l'm fed up with their customary mean ROM over the years)

Same as you will pay same amount for samsung/? with less memory. Prices went up but storage is same as in midrange phones. Feel free to go for cheap-phone.

The Mi5S uses the pixel one (IMX 378) and the Mi6 (and max 2 as well) uses the IMX 386. These two are obviously great sensors. But what lets them down is the camera software.
But they seems to be improving that. The Mi6 produces nearly identical shots as the Pixel in well lit conditions (detailed, low noise, less artifacts, good dynamic range and accurate color reproduction) and the mi max 2 performs almost as good as some year old flagships. Still kinda sucks at low light tho.

Why don't they do 128 256 and 512.
Why have they done 16 64 and 128 on previous models. They always miss one out. Is it to attract you to buy the more expensive one?
