If camera counts as multimedia, then that's what Nokia's good at. That's about it.

Symbian actually does much more than any other OS in the market. iOS presents whatever it does in a better flashy manner .. and for the masses who doesn't care about features, and rather are impressed by the UI, iOS is and forever will be an instant hit :D

Have you really used a high level Android phone or Iphone4? There is no comparison, multimedia or otherwise. Maybe the camera on the N8 is better than most. I was appalled at my friends N8 (that was given to her for free by the way) and this was this latest smartphone. While I loved using my s60 Nokia phonw in the past, I had no delusions that its operating system was anything but a 5+ year outdated operating system. Android and iOS are far beyond.
People in India like Nokia because of the long term marketing that been happening for many years and the fact that Android and iPhone has not been a viable/economical possibility for most people living there, not to mention how bad most of the 3G services are.
Symbian is a joke and has been for a long time. They even ditched its development to go with Windows!

Nokia need to do more of this type of marketing especially that they said that they are still pushing Symbian for at least 5 more years. I don't think Nokia is bothered by Android since Android's success only stems from a lot of manufacturers backing it. Nokia is more bothered by Apple since Apple is the only company apart from Nokia that can sell shitloads of devices. Nokia need to educate the general public that all factors considered, it is still million times wiser to buy Symbian devices than iPhones. Forget about Android.

Symbian has always been better than Android and iOS in multimedia front because of Nokia's hardware ingenuity. I mean far, far better. Symbian devices are converged devices with a lesser focus on web apps and services. The other platforms are the opposite of Symbian, focused on internet and cloud-based, less on multimedia.

Its already India's most trusted brand.(Recent Poll results)
I hope Indians teach Apple a good lesson for its arrogance...
They're taking Indians for granted launching the iPhone a good 10 months late and that too for 41k INR whereas the N8 is only 22k.

Definitely you can do a lot more with Nokia phones than an iphone.
I had an iphone 3 and it felt like i was in a prison. No radio, no bluetooth transfer, you cant even delete a file directly on your mobile and a huge list of other things. Really, iphones are only for amateur mobile users.

In my view, the reason Symbian Anna smartphones will fail is because they come with low ram and processors. If nokia would boost their screen resolution, add 1.2 GHz processor, and 1GB RAM, and price it at say... $550, then I might even consider buying one. I do however like the amoled screens and designs however.
