Nokia starts iDoalotmore campaign in India, seriously?

27 May, 2011
Nokia started a new campaign to promote its latest Symbian gadgets in India called iDoalotmore. It starts just a day after Apple launched the iPhone 4 there and is available on Nokia's official pages and billboards...

Was reading some of the comments. The question is if Apple can finger to every other brand over Antenna issue, then if some brand using the same tactic against them than why questioning it?

Or Apple have patent for that too?

[deleted post]Actually, an unjailbreaked iphone is just another "dumbphone". Cant use bluetooth for file transfer, cant play video formats, cant do multitasking, cant plug in USB Flash drives. Seriously the only way to add in content to an iphone is through the itunes program which is just bullshit. At least nokia can wirelessly add files to the phone, through USB Flash drives, through Microsd cards, and through Windows explorer.

The worst part of the apple products is that they dont even have FLASH!!! that shows how far behind on actual features they are than other dumb phones. the only reason iphones are popular is cuz they are soo simple to use cuz they resemble the dumbphones. The android and symbian sales are way ahead of the ios sales. The iphones are just the transition state to the new world of mobiles of RIM, Android, WP7(maybe), and Symbian. ios is just a flashy substitute for a dumb phone.

[deleted post]"Yes TRUE multitaking IS present in iOS 4"

No it isn't. A TRUE multitasking OS (like Symbian or Windows) can run multiple applications without the intervention of the app developer. Your idea of multitasking is how it was done in Windows 3.1. Modern OS indeed!

That is typical of Nokia! Always trying to rain on somebody else's parade! What a bunch of losers! Nokia doesn't get it, does it! Symbian is dead, you hear! It is and it will always be light-years behind iOS and Android! And no, Elop, no matter how many updates you try to push... you can't catch up now! Too little, too late!

PD. By the way, the new campaign should be called: iWishIwaslikeiOS

This Should also be against Nokia itself an switching to Windows phones,we have seen Mango an Nokia better realise there is no usb transfer,no Bluetooth an no Micro sd slot an no Rotating screen with using Windows software,Symbian it the Best an Easiest to transfer things between phones an Pcs but Mango is not the right choice by Nokia,an soon they will have to realise that loads will not switch to Windows phones that easy if its not transfer an Customize your mobile

Nokia is the Market Leader in India, but is steadily loosing share to Samsung. Its also loosing share to low cost indian mobile makers. The last thing they wanted was Apple. Its out of fear. Maybe if Nokia spend the money on UI and Stability, they would get to sell more...

You really love to argue, but don't say stupid things. Several Nokia smartphones have 32GB internal storage.

[deleted post]ur comments just showed how weak an iphone realy is..as 85% of wat u said can be done with jailbreaking it.so hy go through all that hustle for a ''premium'' device just to get simple features available in a regular Nokia device..and still failing to get all of the features a nokia contains?? i use fm transmiter everyday.in free voice navigation, music listening

first of all, nokia neednot do this, apple can never grab a significant share in indian market.HEY, don't confuse me with a nokia fanboy..i hate nokia!!! but thats true that apple is too costly for what it offers and people in india do make phone calls!!!

and rahulsuneja, you are talking about design??? most of nokia smartphones are simply rectangular boxes(5800,5233.5230,5235,c6 and so on) and you think video call is necessary,go check out the mobile usage survey!!! all finnish fanboys talk about a stable os and low spec reqs but forget that nokia provides slower cpu, less ram,own os at a higher price!!!They can easily provide a 1Ghz processor, if symbian runs well on 680 Mhz won't it fly on 1Ghz???

you just blindly believe what nokia says, develop brains of your own...

Way to act classy nokia. This kind of campaign only goes to show how pathetic and such a cheap-*ss company nokia really is. I wouldn't even wanna be caught dead with a nokia device.

To the writer of this article: it's called MARKETING. Something Nokia hasn't done in many years. And what's your problem with Symbian? You seem to imply that Symbian can't "do a lot more". Well in fact it can.
