Maybe brighter lens if we are lucky. And ram the S8 should have had and Note already does. And they might keep the same 8mp front that the S8 only finally upgraded that was barely exceptable when the S6 had it and just a no when S7 kept it.
Better display though. And slightly improved Image processor maybe. And of course better GPU.

But yeah, as smartphones are maturing, a better camera, a better SoC, more RAM, minor tweaks and software improvements sounds about what we can expect from one year to the next.
I think that's good. Nowadays, you can keep a phone as long as it works, without missing out too much. Less upgrade stress and less E-waste.

With such a limited time, what can we expect to have in the S9? Not much of improvement but prices increase alot. Copy paste Note 8 dual camera, improve Bixby, chipset Snapdragon 836, 6gb ram, dual front cam (maybe) whatelse?

The reasons I gave up on Samsung are mainly two:
A. The Note 7 that I was "forced" to sell back to them especially after they forcibly reduced the capacity of the battery without asking me
B. The fact that very often they come up with a new model, thus reducing the price of older models to nothing.

S9 will have back fingerprints scanner same like S8 because the front is no more places for fingerprint scanner components. It also won't use unibody metals, because it will be more expensive than S8 properly over $1000.

I had the note 1 for 4 years, I was hyped up for note 2 but then a week or so after they were hyping the switch so I thought I'd wait, then S2 arrived and they were hyping note 3 so I said I'd wait again.
Ended up waiting for 4 years and got a LG G5. Holding onto that in the same pattern.
Why buy an expensive product worth $1000++ to only have it obselete a week later. It doesn't help that the manufacturers basically forget all about the prior model users for software updates.

Fusion, 01 Sep 2017Get an iPhone..Android is a fragmented leaky crap OS..that's cool if you like being forced into upgrading your phone every 2 years due to forced obsolescence. Don't even get us started on the reparability of apple devices, or the fact you cant purchase $3 parts to fix the phone but instead have to buy a whole new phone for $700+.
Apple isn't as great as you make them out to be mate, sorry to say.

Is it me or has that peak been reached with smartphones, nothing more to offer but a stupid giant screen. I'm done with them same old from the same old ran out of ideas manufacturers. I'll stick to my 4 year old Xperia Z which is pretty much is what is out there still!
