Nomad, 31 May 2011That means that is going to have a sim card slot???@Nomad
This does have a normal sim card slot.
So does the 10.1
I saw the tablets on 13th May when they had Samsung Africa Forum in Kenya. And let me tell you its awesome!
The tablets were pre-market-release models and couldn't make calls. I don't know if the retail version can make calls.
I played with them for almost an hour and it simply jazzed me.
Am going to get mine through a special order later this week and will update on its performance.

sam killer, 31 May 2011Those are no match for iPad2really, ipad2 can't due telephony and SMS. It's not even comaprable given the lack of these basic features. I really applaud samsung for providing the users with features that users find useful. I have no interest in provider optimized devices. IF I am going to pay for a device to be connected it will have voice and text, otherwise no worth the reccuring $. xman

ohh man... I didn't know this had USB-OTG (with an adapter). I mostly use my mobile for browsing, YouTube, movies, music and reading now, with the occasional call - this device really suits that usage mix, so I'd say it's the one for me!

sam killer, 31 May 2011Those are no match for iPad2You might be right about that in terms of sales. But I've seen Honeycomb run on other devices like Iconia and Transformer and they seem to be more capable and feature rich than iOS on tablets. Galaxy 10.1/8.9 are good competition for iPad.

AnonD-1131, 31 May 2011This is not cool. It's a Samsung folks. They make cheap toy... moreStruggling to keep foothold in smartphone market alone.. Nokia has no luxury to even think about tablet market.

This is not cool. It's a Samsung folks. They make cheap toys and market them as top of the line gadgets. Just wait until Nokia makes tablets. Save your money. Android isn't all that. Even S^3 is better than that overhyped ad platform pretending to be an OS and Symbian will rise again.
