Anonymous, 05 Sep 2017Thats just xda ughh. Most close minded bunch of people ever... moreXDA and Mi forums That's already like around 5-10 million people you don't think companies will listen to them
Do you know that most the Miui Developers were once from XDA these are the same devs you worked on Cyanogen Mod and Aosp also Aokp back in the day when it had its own base
Most of the Oxygen Os developers were from aranoid Android Team
Most of the devs that work on software today were once on XDA that's why companies listen to them

Stock Android has only onscreen navigation keys, but those of Xiaomi have hardware one where it is not possible to customize it the way users want. Xiaomi should realize and change this setup.

Merwyn Fernandes, 05 Sep 2017Facts are facts there is hardly a handful of people in Indi... moreI'm not talking about 7-800 territory sir. I'm talking about something close to 350-400. I know they operate on razor thin margin. They tried being greedy with MI5(4000 rs/400 Yuan difference between it and Chinese prices). Same for mi4. It flopped due to 2 reasons, lack of 64 GB storage options in earlier stage and one plus one was bigger device aimed at enthusiastic crowd. If they don't get greedy and launch it at reasonable prices they are known for, it'll be a great hit

their 4th series has bigger batteries than the 5th series, I'd rather choose 4th with Nougat and big battery than the 5th with Oreo but very low battery

TL;DR You don't need to *unlock* the bootloader if it is already unlocked (thank you Mr. Obvious). However, you *do* *need* an unlocked bootloader to run a custom ROM, otherwise it doesn't boot (aka the very definition of a locked bootloader).

Merwyn Fernandes, 05 Sep 2017As You said Yourself Sharp Aquos is $400 Phone and Not a 20... moreLol my desire 820 is giving 2 hrs of screen on time, it's from 2014, beast of a phone, looking forward to A1/Moto X4. Android one is so tempting I might give up on Ip68. Stock android is the best thing ever, it consumes less ram, less laggy, and faster updates. Sense UI is good but not worth over stock UI.

Xiaomi with pure Android is perfect! The only thing I dont like is the size, I'll wait for an upcoming Xiaomi with pure Android and 5 inches to change my current Mi5.

AnonD-697800, 05 Sep 2017While your point on not many people being knowledgeable abo... moreOkay I know what you are talking about previously that's before 1- 2 years back when Xiaomi first entered the market they had unlocked bootloaders So you didn't have to unlock the bootloader
But at present because of 3rd party Sellers from China adding Unnecessary software to their phone before shipping made Xiaomi consider locking their bootloaders
Currently Xiaomi bootloaders are locked and you need a Software Called Mi unlock to unlock your bootloader Which takes around 10-15 days to actually unlock once you get the permission
Don't try installing a ROM on Redmi note 4 or latter devices cause their bootloaders are locked and your device will surely get bricked if you attempt to do so and you will have to throw the phone
To clarify I own both the Redmi note 4 and the Mi Mix and I have unlocked both their bootloaders b4 installing a Custom ROM cause both came with locked bootloaders out of the box
