Apple has always had nasty rip-off prices, but this easily takes the cake.
The US prices are nasty enough already, but the EU prices are downright street robbery.
iPhone 8: $699 (583€) -> 799€ ($957) -> + $258
iPhone 8 Plus: $799 (666€) -> 909€ ($1089) -> + $290
iPhone X: $999 (833€) -> 1149€ ($1377) -> + $378
Now let's compare that to street prices for the S8 retard edge series:
S8: 539€ ($645), 260€ cheaper than iPhone 8
S8+: 619€ ($741), 290€ cheaper than iPhone 8 Plus
Note 8: 979€ ($1173), no proper rebates yet, but still 170€ cheaper than iPhone X.
I bet that now, with the release of the iPhone 8/X, Samsung prices will drop a good bit more, so the difference will be even bigger.

In my Country in Europe the Galaxy S8 is available from 570 euro. iPhone X will cost 1179/1349 euro. Good pricing.

We pay on average 44% of our income to home rent. This is excluding internet and television prices. Most people pay around 700-800 euros to rent. 50 for television and internet. We pay 100-150 euros monthly for medical care insurance (YOU MUST PAY. It's in the constitution.). Cellphone contracts are on average 25 euros. We pay our schools now with loans mostly. Only the poorest families get free education.

Is funny how people are misinformed about UE...those who earn around 600 (not 500...) Euro in EU is perhaps a lot more than those "fantastic" USD$1500 (well and God knows what will happen to dollar) so lets clarify: no one in that salary range pays 1 cent for medical care (any, including operations), school for their kids is free, books included, transport and scholarship, pay peanuts for utility bills, if they aren't exempt, same for transports, bank taxes, etc,etc...Not to mention the majority lives in decent state funded houses, that cannot exceed 1/3 of household income...not like the poor millions and millions that live in USA in barracks, motor-homes, camping's...the promised land at his best.

The Note 8 is the S8 with a stylus, so I have had a litre play with the S8, give me a Note 8 say and it wouldn't be long before I could not manage without a stylus

Here is the thing there is only 0.3 inches difference between the 5.5" IPhone 8+ and the 5.8" iPhone X (the diagonal) this is 7.62 millimeters
