No doubt Nokia has a best class phone building capabilities. But the decision to with windows and leaving android to precarious. I feel Android is going to change whole game and no body will have monopoly what enjoyed for two three years. If Nokia could have build a Android phone with reasonable price that would have best for their business.

therock, 03 Jun 2011if that happens then symbian OS and the long postponed meeG... morelets hope they do buy nokia then if its the only way to purge an outdated os such as symbian, you have to move with the times or get left behind, and with the nokia fans favouite anchor around their neck nokia has been left well behind theyve just been thrown a lifeline by microsoft lets hope they dont let go in stubborness to try and drag these archaic os with them

nokia do not use android.dont became the part of android.if you became part of android the wp7 will fail.trust me

ok am a nokia fan y nokia seems to not to believe in andriod it will make them look cheap y join a os thats is in basically all the other mobile phones motorola samsung htc sonyericsson lg etc so if am using lg and u are using htc we are basically using the same phone but with diff name tag dats all but using nokia i know a lot of people will switch back or buy a nokia phone wen someting nice comes out am using the n97mini right so i wait for meego or nokia windows with slide so stop cursing and u andy fans keep using ur childish os

Nokia won't sell itself to microsoft. it is just a partnership. the best way for microsoft to be back as one of the elite OS is to pair with a giant cel phone company. Nokia wants to conquer the US market again so microsoft is the answer. Nokia chooses microsoft over android to keep its identity, not to be labeled as android smartphones like samsung, SE, etc..etc.

Current iphone4 users that are loyal to the apple iphone trend will surely buy the iphone5. other iphone users that have used windows in the past and have knowledge about it may switch back to windows, especially since the windows is a nokia device. so again, the OS preference will have a role in the battle of the two smartphones.

Yet, they are are back pedaling to symbian anna by releasing x7 and e6 this year. nokia first said the end year for the symbian os is 2014. now, it is 2016. perhaps, the end year may be prolonged. i think nokia isn't ready to depart with the symbian OS yet because it is nokia's foundation. symbian anna has been just developed recently, improving the symbian OS even though it is slow a improvement.

that's because the n95 is an older smartphone that was launched in 2007. In 2008, the n95 8gb with wider screen and more ram was released. the comparison between the x5 and n95 shouldnt be noted.
it will be super if nokia can develop a 1 ghz symbian OS. that will be innovation and originality.

Why not produce both Android and WP7 devices? Why isn't the N9 out even though Nokia Employees working on MeeGo say it's been ready for months?
Oh, I forgot Elop STILL owns more than $1million of Microsoft stock, even though he claimed he was going to sell it and replace it with Nokia stock.

symbian OS is still alive until 2016. what elop should consider is keeping symbian OS for nokia mid range smartphones. why not have two OS's...symbia OS and windows???
for the @ssmonkeys that are saying symbian os's cpu is slow, it actually is fast also. 1 ghz or 600 mhz with bad reception or signal will make web browsing slow.
