Motorola made the Moto E 2nd Generation, the best phone I had used. I still plan on buying the G5, but I am disappointed with the deprecation of the G4, among other high-end devices being discontinued.

I wonder if this is because Motorola doesn't want to release an update, or Qualcomm not releasing updated Oreo drivers for a 2 year old chipset?

I think all smart phones should be supported for atleast five years. This two year bullshit is a joke, you buy a $1000.00 phone and it is garbage at two years old. Tvs last longer then this come on.

Buy Moto Z play hands down. It's a flagship level set and perfect for day to day and heavy use. No lag at all and perfect memory mangement.Gestures are easy and fun to use, can be updated via Moto Mods and will definitly have 3 years support.
I am using this device currently and totally satisfied with it's performance. Perfect hardware and almost almost clean android software (Nouget 7.1.1) with useful gesture on top.

It's Lenovo, what do people expect? They even released a Tango phone with outdated OS, and that is supposed to be a phone that they collaborated closely with Google.
More reason to dump any of these OEMs. The Motorola brand is done the moment Google sold it.

Please advise me that the Moto G4 Retail Uk is going to receive Android O Update and when this is going to happen.

Motorola USA is not showing Moto G4 to get Android O.

Moto G4 is only about a year old and it would be unfair if it does not get Android O.

                          Please advise thank you.

I chose Motorola one because of having used Motorola in the past and two using a Lenovo Laptop currently. When I can afford it in the future I will replace both.
