I've got a Samsun... moreWhy do you think your phone would be ruined?
When my S6 updated to Nougat, it gave the phone a new lease of life, including improved battery life.

I predicted this outcome years ago, as did many others such as Evan Blass.
"Moto G4 by Lenovo, a Lenovo company" is the norm.

The changes to Motorola are starting to become more and more evident..... I hope Motorola doesn't die because like Nokia it is one of the first pioneers of phones and has a long rich history.

Maybe not that bad of a news, actually.
I've got a Samsung A5 2017 and I won't be updating it to Nougat as there is a way too high chance that it will just ruin my phone.

I'm contemplating between Moto Z Play first gen and HTC U11. This fact only serves to push me closer to the U11, even though it's quite costly.
Sure, Z Play gets into the list of Android O update, however I can't be that sure they don't back off again.

Yes , same is true for Moto X Play , It was promised Nougat in January , but postponed to March from there to May , around June soak test was started , in July they posted realese notes for Android N, and now its September every one is excited about Android O but X Play users are waiting for N update .
Team GSMarena please publish an article about that too...

Lenovo's mobile decision is not very profitable. Rather than learning a thing or two from Motorola, they made it like itself. Now in India they are bringing phones with stock Android, as "it gets update faster". Moto phones have always been on stock Android. If they can't update them, who will trust that Lenovo would update their own phones? My moto g5 plus still running Android 7.0 with March security update.
After lenovo 's take over, Moto has Become Lenovo. Lots of phones, no updates.
