Just buy the S7 or even other brands like Huawei, they're cheaper plus the have the fingerprint reader on a SENSIBLE location.

A 2018 hardware looks outdated. First nougat in February 2018 when every phone will be on oreo? Then 7/8/10nm chips flagship phones will be out in spring/summer. Then Samsung own j series will be out with new 11nm chips and Oreo...

A5 2017 is about 30% weaker than s6

A5 2016 on par s4 and a5 2015... moreYes, the hardware maybe on par with those flagship, but the user experience that samsung give on new phone is on another level compared to those flagship. The UI on s3, s4, and s5 was horrible and full of bloatware.
I have to say that i really hate touchwiz, but Grace UX was really good that can be compared to ios design UI. And now they use Dream UX which is good if you love simplicity.

At least Samsung have come up with their own unique design language. The Huawei is just another iphone chinese clone, even the mate 9 porche edition is a rip off of the note 7 with its curved glass and symetrical design.
Samsung has popularised the use of curved glass w/ metal frames (apple started it but samsung definitely refined it), waterproofing thats treackled down to their midrange phones, fast and wireless charging, Samsung pay, Large phones, Minimal bezels. They may not created these features but they were one of the first to put it all together in their flagships and since then everyone has followed suit.
All companies take inspiration from each other, especially in such a massive and competitive industry, just get over it.

Well, A series always seems like a lite version of S series except it always designed better since its comes out a little bit late after S series. When i read the title i thought it said fingerprint reader under infinity display. Lol. If that is true we all would be so mad right now after buying Note8 and S8. But that fingerprint reader under the camera is also good news though. Good enough to be consider better than it being beside the camera.
