iPhone X has a slightly bigger battery than iPhone 8 Plus

26 September 2017
Despite its more compact body, the flagship iPhone doesn't compromise on battery capacity.

AnonD-693728, 27 Sep 2017Before making assumptions and calling out people for being ... moreGenerally I do RAM * 2 and Battery * 1.5 to find Android's equivalents.

So 3GB on IOS is like having 6GB on Android (performs the same)
And ~2700 Mah of Battery in IOS is the equivalent of having 4000 MaH on Android.

I don't think any android is as stacked. Used to be Mi Mix series, but w Mi Mix 2 they downgraded the battery so it's another run of the mill phone. The Koreans hate big batteries and apparently big ram lately.

So yeah, iPhone X would be the most stacked phone of 2017 (and probably 2018 too).

A11 already destroys everyone for the next year or two ... now the rest of the specs seem to be boss too ... still I hate IOS and wouldn't buy a $1000 phone since a $400 phone does 95% of the same things ... just re-iterating the obvious: either androids up their game or Apple would once again rack up all their profits. I mean Samsung is even downgrading lately (S8 had less battery than S7), wake up Samsung you were once the king of specs. Nowdays the chinese kill you and Apple *destroys* you...

Sony Fanboy Bitches, 26 Sep 2017The issue is that the device itself as overall is overprice... moreBefore making assumptions and calling out people for being "stupid" I highly recommend leaving the fanboy-sm out and checking the spec sheet AT LEAST.

1.It features a 2716 mAh battery first of all.
    2. 3GB of ram is plenty for their environment. I recommend watching Gary Sim's video on it.
    3. Fast Charging : While it is a shame they don't include it in the box, people that buy the phone will probably go for the Fast Wireless charging solution anyway.
    4. Headphone jacks are obsolete. They've been built almost 1 and a half centuries ago (although a lot more primitive). The music players, music files, and the equalizers -- every step of the process is handled by computers which is why there's no reason to still use an analogue input. In regards to Bluetooth tech, I'm assuming you didn't take the time to look at the W1 and W2 chips from Apple. I highly recommend checking them out.
    5. Apple was always software-orientated when it comes to the camera. The two sensors are just fine. Look at the reviews that are showing up literally everywhere on the internet.
    6. Most of the users don't know how to use manual mode and that's why I personally believe they didn't add it. However this can be added with future updates as it is mostly software based.
    7. SD cards are no longer needed. There's a ton of cloud storage options and if you keep pushing the 1200$ price tag I assume you're referring to the 256 GB model and at that point I have to wonder : What could you possibly want to store on your phone that would exceed the limit.

Now I'd really appreciate if you'd take the time to look into the matter before posting and calling out people.

EVERY phone stutters, has shut downs, battery drains, software hick-ups etc. Why? Oh well it's tech, not perfectly fine running humans...oh wait...

Both have "problems", it depends on what kind of experience you want to have. I've had both Android and IOS phones and now I have IOS because, to me, it is more stable and predictable. With Android I found it inadmissible for stock Google apps running on stock Android on a Nexus phone to crash all the time. But I totally understand all those who choose Android and that's fine. Let the companies beat each other out, in the end we pay and we should get better software experiences. They don't pay us to be brand ambassadors for them. We, (at least I ) want a better user experience. That's all.

New York City has the highest and best specs of any city anywhere. 4 seasons, everything and anything on demand 24/7. No where else can compete with the specs it offers, so therefore it MUST be the best city in the world. Mumbai should burn itself to the ground because it can never compete on any level.

Such a joke. Small battery, guess they will make good use on the lower power efficiency cores on their supposedly fast processor to preserve battery life.

My Galaxy A3 2016 had an amazing battery run time when I got it. Now after 1 year of use the already 3 years old iPhone 6 of my gf beats my A3 easily! Same with my old Galaxy Note. After 2 years the batteries were completely dead. I have no trust in Samsung anymore. Only Android geeks are talking about specs and numbers because it's the only good thing about it.

Marginally bigger battery + Bigger screen + iOS using plenty of white and bright colors = even more mediocre battery life, probably not gonna be more than 60 hrs endurance.

Dave Granger, 26 Sep 2017Is resolution that big of an issue? The Plus model iPhone h... moreBattery life of the Plus versions isn't really much better at all, even though the batteries are significantly bigger indeed. They gain a lot on things like phonecall time and music listening, since you do not use the screen there, but active screen usage like browsing or watching movies shows that a Plus model can fall behind on the normal model.

The thing you hardly ever see back though, is how the phone will last while gaming, and that is where you really will notice the phone needs to push more pixels, as the GPU will have to work harder. So while it may not be the pixels in the screen itself all that much, the whole system behind it gets taxed more, which means the battery gets taxed more.
