All the battery is needed for the AMOLED screen because iOS interface is mostly white.. Expect battery life to be the same or even worse than 8+.. LOL

no matter how less the ram is in iphones and still only dual core chip....it still easily beats out the whole army of 6/8gb rams and dual octa core chips of androids!....now that's android for you gsmarena samesung fanboys!

And if they had web browsing in that test instead of a movie, which will be showing more whites, the galaxies would have deposited way faster, since the OLED will consume more power

The superb notification system got better, in-app performance is better, boot times are halved, video recording uses HEVC.265, APTXHD among other high-quality streaming support, full system OPUS support, project Treble makes Android modular (meaning any version of Android can run on any phone with Treble support - for example, anyone can run stock Android as soon as it's released, or stick to their OEM skins), background task management for better battery life, Google Play Protect for better security, back button panic overrides malware sites and kills the app, system-wide theming for all apps and system (just need to install a theme manager), safe boot (fail-safes if booting fails), etc.
I run Android 8.0 Oreo on my Xiaomi Mi5. It's very fast and smooth and has good battery life. Considering all the features Android and iOS already have, what more do you want/need?

The bad: you get 3GB of RAM and you better like it. Yes, the iPad Pros have 4GB of RAM and yes, they are cheaper than the iPhone X. That’s Apple for you. - Pretty much sums up everything.

but still I would prefer to stick to Huawei (previously Samsung) since they can do a decent job, and cheaper.

Android Oreo feels like a weak update. But it seems iOS11 is a weaker update and needs more time to become stabilized. The iPhone 8/8 Plus/X will all have iOS11 out of the box with no chance to downgrade it. I could wait for the 2019 iPhone with A13 and iOS13 refining the UI bugs iOS11 and perhaps 12 will bring out. It takes 2-3 iterations to refine a new designed product whether with software or hardware.
Until then, iPhone SE is the greatest iPhone ever made. 6s internals in a 5s body. This is technically the third generation of the 5 series design. Apple will milk the same designs for 4-5 years. Just introduce them with gimmicky features and new colors. People stupid enough to buy it every year because it comes in a nicer color.

SoC with powerful GPU
RAM
Storage capacity (mine is solved with Google Photos)
The thing is Apple will find a way to ruin your phone with software updates. Some iPhone 7 Plus owners are struggling with iOS11. Apple loves money more than any of their fans. They update their iPhone hardware slower to milk the same design for as long as they can and have something left for the next one. Then add a nail in the coffin software update four years later.
For all the hipsters buying it because of a new design and then cover it all up with an uglier case that makes it thicker or adds dirt to scratch the phone, nearly 100M people will have that same iPhone X design as yours. I just find the irony that the iPhone 6 and X have sold or will the most because of a newer design. But refined models like the SE (bbest internally of the 5 series design) and 8 (best of the 4 & 6 series design) gets no love and sell the least. Buyers' priorities are messed up.

It’s looking much more cooler. Nilkin has the best one out and 7 Plus version fits perfectly as they’re the same dimensions. $8 (AUD) on eBay.
