AnonD-428779, 27 Sep 2017Firstly.. you definitely CAN see the difference between fu... morei cant see the difference. most ppl cant, unless for VR content or the screen is big enough. it is a waste of power and money. lots of 1080p screen out there i dont see anyone complaining they can see the individual pixel (oneplus5, mi6,iphone 7plus, xperia XZ etc. etc.), yet some oem with 5.3" put QHD on their screen. QHD is just marketing for most part.
just dont say S8 and S8+ screen is big, just about 5.2" and about 5.5" when viewing 16:9 media content.

Anonymous, 27 Sep 2017If you don't believe your eyes it is other story. Those tests last for a few minutes. Try to rerun the same app after a day or two.
Like I said iphones rarely reload and that's a fact, androids in general but even sony in particular does reload apps. I have owned two Sony phones thus far, I know what I'm talking about. They're fast for android phones, but they also reload ... I guess it comes with the territory.

Secondly.. many apple loyalists really do not like this weird '2 horns' screen that tries to fool people into thinking its truly without bezel.. it's ugly. If you also look at the screen- device ratio.. the S8 duo are actually less bezel! Almost 84%

from your perspective, samsung also ripped ppl off by selling S8 with QHD screen (more expensive than 1080p), as most ppl cant even tell the difference between 1080p and QHD screen, unless for VR, which only few ppl using it.
i dont understand what do you mean by component inside S8 is cutting edge? u can say all flagships has cutting edge internal. do u mean A11 Bionic is a weak component?
after all, this is business. if u provide something to someone, even if it is ridiculous but they like it, u'll get rich.

Man, they waited years for fast charge and oled, give them theyr loved ones apple. Dont mind if parts are missing, they paid so much for marketing that they will find a way to love it anyway...release the X please, they cant show off bencharmks or cameras anymore they need style for the next 365 days

It's all about ... moreThe optimizations play a minimal role. It's more about how the OSes are set-up. I actually prefer Android's way BTW. IOS's is more managanable in an environment of low resources. So basically only the front end app is allowed to take most resources. That's good because it allows it to appear swift even back when iphones had dinky processors (it's no longer needed for that anymore) *and* it basically disallows background processes to get wild. THAT is why IOS is still relevant. It basically means scarce battery bugs, far lower ram needs...
It's why you get twice the amound of apps in memory despite using the same ram amount as android (3GB in IOS = 6GB on android), and more battery two (2700 MaH on IOS ~ 4000 MaH on Android) .... That's all fine and dandy, but it makes customization much harder ... which is why I'm not pulling the trigger still on Iphone X ... else it's 90% of what I expected any flagship (ever) to be (all screen, powerful as a destkop, ~2-day battery).
I guess I'll wait for a jailbreak before pulling the trigger. If it never comes , or if it comes yet the customizations are meh I won't buy it. But if the customizations allowed by Cydia are as powerful as they used to ... then yay! Whether I'll give $1000 or $500 makes little difference too as I don't change my phones very frequently...
This phone is a beast, saddled by a semi-bad OS. Hopefully Cydia tweaks would fix the OS...
