I expect they use the same panel (minus some pixels for iphone) but Apple's legendary calibration method (I expect) would make the diffence. Previous iphones had the best LCD in the market in part because of Apple's calibration ... I wonder what they'll do now that they have top tech in hand ...

And of course resolution doesn't matter either. Very "objective".

They do exactly what Apple wants, money talks and they get lot of it from Apple. You know iPhone X screen isn't something what we seen in the market, it's tweaked by Apple.

As for iPhones...They are like sports bikes lol. Sure in theory it's faster than any car even with less horse power. And that's all. You can't really do much with it. Especially on ice/snow :D
I'd always get a "slow" sports car over any mega hyper fast bike. :D

The BEST quality screen is the QUAD HD AMOLED In the S8 duo and note 8.. bar NONE. it's a fact. Not the much lower resolution one in the IPhone X.. that also goes for the face recognition which again is proven NOT AS GOOD as an iris scanner.. again from S8s and note 8.. the simple fact is that all you cling to is the fact that ios is mili second faster because its totally SIMPLE operating system! You can't deny the fact that the components inside a S8 are cutting edge whereas apple dont use.. they reap massive profits from phones with weaker components. So what if their cpu can give massive benchmarks for moving FAR less pixels.. on a much easier to run operating system. They are ripping people off.. it's about time people faced it.

It's all about ... moreYep. Youtube and competing sites all tell the same story. iPhone's batteries are indeed among the worst. No amount of "optimizations" can compensate for small batteries like their. And they aren't even the most optimized. I've seen comparisons between Mi max 2 and iPhone 7 plus. They show the Mi max having more than 2X the battery life of the iPhone, despite the fact that the Mi max doesn't have a battery 2x+ the size of the Iphone's AND it has much bigger screen too. Therefore the iPhone is less optimized.
That's the harsh truth hardcore fans will always spin and deny.

The "weak" word depends on what you compared the sales to.
iPhone 8 sales are weak compared to it's predecessor, iphone 7. So iphone sales are weak.
iPhone 8 sales are not weak compared to what they expected. But what they expected doesn't matter to us. They could expected to sell only 1000 units and say sales were still not weak. See?
So, iphone sales are WEAK because it's selling way less than the iphone 7.
The big motive is because people are waiting for the iphoneX. But that's not the only reason maybe...

It's all about software optimization: 6 gig or 4 gig, it doesn't matter. And Android is more customizable than iOS.
I wonder why GSMArena doesn't have tested the battery life of the iPhone 8. But if you compare the endurance rating of the Note8, V30 and last years iPhone 7, the iOS device has the lowest rating.

Reality: People are waking up to the realization that Apple is selling them specs and technology from 3 years ago at today's prices, and are now switching to Android.

In terms of marketing it was very very stupid to launch iphone X together with iphone 8. It was obvious that 70% of iphone customers will wait for iphone X, because they are so sick of the old design and old display. Iphone 8 is 90% like iphone 6 from 3 years ago for a normal user. It was more smart to keep the secret very well and sudden launch iphone X at 1 December , making a big surprise, with instant availability from 2 december.

iPhone X has the best specs of any iphone for its era. In fact it's the first iphone to have the most battery (2700 * 1.5 to get the equivalent Mah for android) and RAM (3GB * 2 to get the equivalent RAM for android) *and* CPU in the same generation.
Add the edgeless amoled screen (which is the top quality of mobile screens currently).
The face w depth detection (which is the fastest unlocking method currently)
The iphone 8esque cameras (which according to Dx0 mark are the best current mobile cameras)
And you get a phone with *0* downsides (hardware wise)
Then compare it with S8 (worse battery than S7, same SoC/RAM), G6 (basically less battery too as you cannot have a spare anymore, same SoC/RAM), Mi Mix 2 (again less battery, smaller screen, only slightly better SoC) ... and plenty others following the above trend.
And you can see that iPhone X comes in an off year for androids (they mostly took a step back). It will eat the competion alive!
Of course it's still running IOS which is meh for phones. But it's the first year that I'm speculating making the jump. The hardware is like from another year (or rather androids' is from last year).
