I am impressed. Normally iPhones leaves other Androids in dust in such kinds of tests.
I still think this type of test is a bit pointless and inconclusive.

Apple desings all hardware and software for their iPhone, and still can't beat Samsung's generic hardware and software.

AnonD-684631, 29 Sep 2017Is inverse :) Android Ecosystem is huge and defenitely andr... moreWhy would it lag? The fact is that A11 has a larger (die size, more transistors) more powerful CPU than those SoC used by Android phones. Sure the 3g of ram of an iPhone would perhaps not be enough but the CPU would handle it with ease.

New SoC and no iOS vs old SoC and old Android. Once App developer got a chance to optimize for A11 it will easily crash all phones

Apple cores are a lot bigger than all other competitors, approaching the size of intel laptop cores. It's also the reason why Apple can't pack bigger batteries, apart from their unwillingness to sacrifice thinness.

We're looking at real world tests, where all components are working together to bring the whole experience. If there are any imbalance, it will ruin everything.

Low RAM = can't keep many apps open, may need to reload more often from storage
Slow RAM = possibly slow in app performance, esp. when buffering
Slow storage = slow app loading, in app may be affected as well if the app is I/O intensive
Low number of cores = cannot run many independent tasks
Slow CPU core = slow in app performance in general
                                      And so on...

Basically, Note 8 gets the better balance among the two.

iOS has become the lagging BS they mocked everybody else of being, just to excel on a few synthetic benchmark tests.
Steve Jobs would have fired every responsible person had he been alive today. Apple is turning into Apple anno 1990. Lots of money, no one in-house with a clue how to spend the money.
